Kevin Harvick is among the celebrated names in the world of stock car racing. He ended his NASCAR Cup Series career with one championship secured in 2014, along with 60 wins in the premier series, 10th on the all-time list behind Kyle Busch’s 63 wins.

But even after his racing career concluded, Harvick continued to work around the clock with the companies under his name. The California native, who is worth $110 million (according to Celebrity Net Worth), owns companies that are centered around sports.

What are these business ventures? Let’s check them out.

Kevin Harvick Incorporated

First on the list is Kevin Harvick Incorporated, also known as KHI. The company was founded by Kevin Harvick and his wife, DeLana, in 2001 to compete in the Xfinity and Truck series. The team fielded several NASCAR Hall of Famers, including Tony Stewart and Ron Hornaday Jr.

The first victory at the Truck Series came at Phoenix Raceway in 2002 with Harvick behind the wheel. Meanwhile, the team earned its first win at the Xfinity Series at the season opener at the 2005 Daytona 300 with Stewart.

In 2007, KHI bagged its first championship title in the Truck Series with Hornaday Jr. He also brought home the team’s second championship two years later.

Harvick decided to end the team’s racing days in 2011 to focus on starting a family. The team retired from the sport with two Truck Series drivers’ championships, one Truck Series owners’ championship, 43 Truck Series wins, and 10 Xfinity Series wins.

CARS Tour

In 2023, four companies, including Kevin Harvick Incorporated, acquired CARS Tour, a US-based stock car racing series. He shares ownership with several renowned NASCAR personalities, including Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Burton, and Justin Marks.

With an ownership stake in the racing series, the now 48-year-old driver brought back a race team in the Late Model program in 2023. The team transitioned into full-time racing the following year, fielding veteran drivers such as Ryan Preece, Josh Berry, and Harvick himself.

The team is also joined by young talents including Brent Crews, William Sawalich, and Landen Lewis.

When Harvick reflected on his first year as a CARS Tour owner, he said:

“When you look at the first year, there’s a lot of things I’ve learned a lot about,” Harvick shared. “I love the group of guys we work with because it’s a great communicating group who look at things from a much different perspective but also understand that we’re trying to reach the same goal. It’s been a lot of work, but a lot of fun, as well.”

Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway

Apart from a racing league and team, the 2014 NASCAR Cup Series champ also owns a race track in his hometown of Bakersfield, California.

The 0.5-mile oval track was initially called Kern County Raceway Park when it opened in 2013 before being renamed to Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway under the new ownership in 2023. The ownership group is joined by Harvick and couple Tim and Lisa Huddleston.

Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway hosts various racing series such as ARCA Menards Series West, CARS Tour, and USAC.

Charlotte Checkers

Kevin Harvick diversified its business portfolio when he joined the ownership group of the Charlotte Checkers earlier this year. Checkers is a minor-league ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliated with the NHL’s Florida Panthers.

The former NASCAR driver is part of Zawyer Sports & Entertainment, a group that has a controlling interest in the team. Together with him in the group are Tim Tebow, Myles Jack, J.J. Jansen, and FOX NASCAR analyst Regan Smith.

When Harvick is away from his business owner duties, the driver joins the FOX broadcast team for NASCAR.
