NASCAR Racing gives drivers the biggest platform to showcase their skills in the stock racing category. It is considered the equivalent of Formula 1 in the stock racing category. NASCAR provides a lot of popularity to American culture and its heritage through race venues, sponsors and drivers. NASCAR Cup Series is a 36 race high performance circus which travels all over America competing on various tracks and putting the drivers and spectators through an equal amount of zeal and adrenaline.

NASCAR has a history of gaining attention through out of the box ideas. Whether it be the super speed racing circuits, the event names or even in race events and situations. One of the famous examples was, when NASCAR refunded the fines of Donnie Allison and Cale Yarborough for fistfighting as they helped the sport gain limelight. Over the years, many drivers have left their mark in the sport. Jimmie Johnson, Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt are the drivers who have found the most amount of success in NASAR winning seven Championship titles.

NASCAR in accordance with the tradition of Motorsports, rewards unique achievements of the drivers through official and unofficial titles. The “Crown Jewel” races are a perfect example of this, so is the NASCAR Grand Slam.

Grand Slam in NASCAR

The NASCAR Grand Slam should not be confused with its Formula 1 counterpart. In Formula 1, the Grand Slam is limited to achievements that span throughout one race whereas, in NASCAR they include multiple races.

The Grand Slam achievement of NASCAR is provided to the drivers to manage to claim victories at the four most important races in the year. They are the best and most popular events on the 36 race calendar. It is complemented by another achievement, known as the Career Grand Slam. The Career Grand Slam is more liberal compared to the normal Grand Slam and it requires a driver to win these four important races over their NASCAR career as an active racer.
