When it comes to NASCAR, winning the Cup Series Championship is the dream for most drivers. But there are a few outliers who have accentuated this dream and have won the Championship as team owners. Drivers like Jeff Gordon have spent their entire career with a singular team, remaining loyal throughout.

Gordon did not just drive for Hendrick Motorsports, he also became an equity partner in the team in 1999. Hendrick Motorsports, a relatively newer team to other legacy teams, was founded by Rick Hendrick in 1984. The team started their journey with just a single car but Jeff Gordon and Rick Hendrick as team owners have been able to get accolades unimaginable to most.

Team with the most wins in NASCAR

Hendrick Motorsports is the team with the most wins in NASCAR. They have won 304 races as well as 14 Title Championships in the Cup Series. The team has also been able to earn three Craftsman Truck Series titles as well as an Xfinity Series Drivers crown.

The team was founded by Rick Henrick in 1984 and ran a single car with Geoff Bodine in the seat. The team won three races in their inaugural year, with Bodine finishing 9th in the championship.

Hendrick Motorsports has won at least a single race in all seasons since, except for their sophomore year. Jeff Gordon has contributed 93 race wins and four championships to this amazing tally. Throughout his career as a driver and team owner, Gordon was able to also achieve 325 top five starts for the team.

Drivers like Darrel Waltrip, Chase Elliot, Dale Earnhardt Jr.,Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, and Kyle Larson have won races for the team. Just like Gordon, Jimmie Johnson also won all seven of his Cup Series Championships under the Hendrick Motorsports Banner.

Three other drivers have won the Championship for Hendrick Motorsports apart from Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. These drivers are Chase Elliot, Terry Labonte, and Kyle Larson. Larson was also the last Champion for the team and won the title in 2021.
