Tyler Reddick was born in Corning, California but he grew up in DuQuoin, Illinois. Tyler Reddick began racing at the age of four. He started his career by competing in Outlaw Karts. He started competing in mini sprints, midgets, dirt late models, and sprint cars later on. Reddick qualified for pole position at the Eldora Speedway World 100 and became the youngest driver to do so. Reddick also became the youngest driver to win the East Bay Winter Nationals. His streak of young achievements continues in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series where he became the youngest winning driver. Additionally, he is also the youngest driver to qualify for a feature race in World of Outlaws sprint racing.

Tyler Reddick debuted in the ARCA Racing Series in 2012. He won his first career start in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series the same year at the Rockingham Speedway.
