Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson, is a popular personality in NASCAR. The 32-year-old has a long list of accomplishments and awards to his name. He is the 2021 Cup Series Champion and has also won several dirt racing events like the Kings Royal and the Chili Bowl Nationals.
Larson currently lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he owns a $5.6 million mansion. His family moved there to enjoy the sunny weather and activities such as hiking, golfing and shopping.
"Who knows where our lives go in the next 30 years or whatever, but Arizona is definitely a place where you want to be when you retire... As of right now, I would say that I would be there forever... It's just really nice and accommodating... And the kids, they play more often in Arizona,” Larson said in March (via The Arizona Republic).
Kyle Larson was born in Elk Grove, California and he started racing in outlaw karts in Northern California when he was just seven. He competed in various open-wheel racing series during his teenage years and later shifted to stock car racing.
Larson won his first race at Placerville Speedway and set the sprint car track record at Ocean Speedway in 2010. The next year, he won the 4-Crown Nationals at Eldora Speedway. He later won six USAC National Midget races, including the Turkey Night Grand Prix.
Kyle Larson's NASCAR timeline
Kyle Larson started racing in NASCAR for Turner Scott Motorsports in the Truck Series in 2012. He won his first race at Rockingham Speedway the next year.
Larson raced full-time in the Nationwide Series (now Xfinity Series) in 2013 with Turner Scott Motorsports and earned the Rookie of the Year award.
In 2014, Larson won his first Nationwide race and began his Cup Series career with Chip Ganassi Racing. He won his first Cup Series race at Michigan in 2016, had four wins in 2017 and finished 9th in points in 2018. He won the All-Star Race in 2019 and ended his 75-race winless streak at Dover.
Kyle Larson joined Hendrick Motorsports in 2021 and earned the Cup Series championship with a career-high 10 victories. He also drove the No. 44 truck for Niece Motorsports in the Bristol dirt race that year and finished 35th.
In 2022, he finished 2nd at Road America, won at Watkins Glen and was seventh in the Cup Series standings. He won his third Truck Series race at North Wilkesboro in 2023.
Larson tried a challenge this year that no other NASCAR driver had attempted in 10 years. He planned to race in both the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 on the same day. However, after finishing 18th in his IndyCar debut, he could not get back to Charlotte in time for the Cup race.
