Experiencing a NASCAR race at the racetrack is always special, be it a Cup Series or Xfinity Series one. However, finding the right seat to watch the action from is crucial as well.

While some fans swear by the engagement levels offered by the seats in the Start/Finish stretch, others prefer the expansive view from the high grandstands or the comfort of the VIP suites. Almost every NASCAR venue is filled with a variety of seating options to cater to every fan's needs.

Here's a look at the types of seats available at NASCAR venues.

Frontstretch (Start/Finish stretch)

The seats at the Frontstretch are considered the most engaging option for all NASCAR fans, new or veteran. These seats not only offer the best view of the start/finish stretch but also a view of the pit lane.

This allows fans to experience the crucial moments of the race. This makes these seats some of the most sought-after at every venue.

Low Grandstand

While most people opt for the Higher option, the Low Grandstand makes sense for people who are on a budget. Though the view from these seats is quite restricted, they sometimes can turn exciting if drivers clash. These seats are generally preferred by NASCAR fans who wish to experience race cars fly-by at top speeds.

High Grandstand

These are the second most sought-after options after the Frontstretch ones. The High Grandstand offers the fans an expansive view of the track.

Although not as engaging as the lower options, these seats are generally preferred by people who keep track of actions happening at all ends of the circuit.

Garage Pass (Hot Pass)

It is hard to consider the Garage Pass or Hot Pass as a seating option. These options are generally preferred by nerdy fans, who like to get an up-close view of all the action happening in the garage areas.

Those with the pass even stand a chance to get some form of interaction from their favorite driver or crew, if they are lucky enough.

VIP Suites

VIP Suites are for fans looking for a top-tier experience. These pricey seating options provide a panoramic view of the racetrack, along with good food and luxury amenities. VIP Suite packages sometimes include access to driver appearances as well. However, they are available in a limited number.

Family-friendly seating options

These seats are generally located away from all the loud action. Family-friendly seating options are designed considering the needs of a family, with interactive play areas for kids and easy access to food stalls and restrooms.

General Admission

Unlike the aforementioned seating options, General Admission tickets are useful for fans who are new to the sport. These tickets allow them to explore multiple areas in the venue, allowing them to sample the energy and vibe at different places on the track. This type of ticket is common for road courses.
