Brent Crews is one of many young, up-and-coming stock car racing drivers. The 16-year-old has rides in multiple different series, most notably driving the #29 Kevin Harvick Incorporated Toyota, owned by retired NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick, in the CARS Late Model Stock Tour.
This past season, Crews tallied three victories and earned the 2024 CARS Late Model Stock Tour Rookie of the Year honor. A native of North Carolina, Crews also competes part-time in the SCCA Trans-Am TA2 ProAm Series behind the #70 Nitro Motorsports Ford. Crews became the youngest Trans Am TA Class winner in history, while also picking up Trans Am TA2 victories at Circuit of the Americas, Mid-Ohio, and Lime Rock All-Star.
Brent Crews also competes part-time in the ARCA Menards Series behind the wheel of the No. 20 Venturini Motorsports Toyota. In eight career starts, Crews has two wins in the series, with the first being at Springfield in 2023 and the second at DuQuoin in 2024.
Crews is a part of the Toyota Racing Development's TD2 driver development program, which he signed a multi-year agreement with in 2023. Crews has also tried his hand in midget racing, including becoming the youngest A-Main starter in the history of the prestigious Chili Bowl Nationals back in 2023.
Crews has big things ahead as he's set to run part-time in the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series in 2025, driving the #1 Tricon Garage Toyota in nine races. While his career is just getting started, Crews has already accomplished a lot at a young age.
Brent Crews won first Tulsa Shootout this past weekend
Brent Crews added one more accolade to his young racing career this past weekend in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In his fourth attempt, Crews won the 30-lap Stock Non-Wing feature to pick up his first career Tulsa Shootout victory.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Crews thanked his dad, among others, and noted he'd been chasing a victory in the prestigious event for some time.
"LFG. Thank you, Dad, @co1t_smith, @dannyruggiero37 . God is so good. Have been wanting this one for a while ✅. @theadamsperformance @harvickcarts @ezgovehicles," Brent Crews wrote.
Crews will share the #1 Tricon Garage Toyota in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series with three other drivers in 2025, including Brandon Jones, William Sawalich, and Lawless Alan. Jones will make seven appearances in the truck, while Sawalich gets seven races, Alan four races, and Crews with the most at nine races.
Crews' CARS Late Model Stock Tour owner, Kevin Harvick, retired from full-time Cup Series competition at the end of the 2023 season. He has since joined the FOX NASCAR broadcast team where he calls races from the booth alongside longtime announcer Mike Joy and retired Cup Series driver Clint Bowyer.
