Former NASCAR driver turned broadcaster Kyle Petty married Morgan Petty in 2015. The couple will celebrate their ninth wedding anniversary this year on December 12.
Petty belongs to one of the most popular racing families in NASCAR and is the son of seven-time Cup Series champion Richard Petty and the grandson of Lee Petty. He last raced in the Cup Series for Petty Enterprises in 2008. The 64-year-old has eight wins, including the 1987 Coca-Cola 600, in the series.
Petty's wife Morgan (formerly Morgan Castano) is the Executive Director of Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America, an event that raises money for Victory Junction. This camp helps kids with chronic health issues and was originally co-founded by Pattie Petty, Kyle's first wife.
Morgan, who was born in 1985, is originally from Ohio and keeps her life private with little social media presence. She and Kyle have three children together. The oldest, Overton Owens, was born in 2018. Their younger two sons, Colten Cable and Davant Isley, are four and two years old, respectively.
Kyle also has three other children from his first marriage, including Adam Petty, who passed away in a racing accident in 2000. His first marriage with Pattie Petty ended in 2012 after 33 years.
"Today was filled with lots of my favorite things" - Kyle Petty shares charity ride pictures from Niagara Falls with wife and children
Kyle and Morgan are currently participating in the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America. They traveled through four states and visited Bedford, Niagara Falls, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Lake Erie, and more.
"Day 3 and 4 of the 2025 @kpcharityride - we’ll spend the morning at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and then head along Lake Erie through PA to NY. We’ll then spend TWO NIGHTS in Niagara Falls! The riders will be able to explore BOTH the U.S. and Canadian side. Today was filled with lots of my favorite things - great music and beautiful sights," Petty wrote in a recent post.
Petty started Victory Junction in 2004 to honor his son Adam. The camp in North Carolina helps children with serious illnesses by giving them fun and safe camping experiences at no cost. The annual ride funds Petty's charity. It has raised over $22 million and helped 7,985 children since 1995.
Kyle and Richard Petty also took part in the 28th Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America in May this year and raised 1.8 million for Victory Junction. The ride covered over 2,100 miles through nine states and stopped at famous places like Mount Rushmore and Churchill Downs.
The next ride will start on May 3 in Traverse City and end in Hot Springs, Virginia.
