DDT Pro-Wrestling (2011 - Present)

Fueled by childhood passion, Takeshita, a former track star, began training at DDT Pro-Wrestling in 2011. His official debut in 2012 saw a loss. He briefly held the Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship before losing it back to the previous champion. In a touching display, he pinned a retiring wrestler in a tag team match.

2013 brought his true breakthrough: becoming the first high school student to win Tokyo Sports' "Rookie of the Year," solidifying him as a rising star with global recognition. Takeshita's 2014 in DDT was a rollercoaster. He started with a championship loss, formed the "Happy Motel" stable, and won (then lost) a different title. A high-profile defeat followed, but he teamed with Endo to capture the KO-D Tag Team Championship, earning Takeshita the "Future of DDT" moniker. They eventually lost the title and Takeshita fell short in a tournament, but the year ended with their triumphant return as champions.

Takeshita's 2016 in DDT was a year of highs and lows. He started by challenging for the top title but lost, then lost the tag team championship with Endo. However, on his birthday, he became the youngest KO-D Openweight Champion in history. He even debuted in All Japan Pro Wrestling and successfully defended his title against his former partner who had turned on him. Unfortunately, he lost the title later in the year but managed to regain the tag team championship with a new partner.

In 2019, Takeshita continued his success in DDT. He won the D-Oh Grand Prix tournament and his third KO-D Openweight Championship title. However, he lost the title twice within a few months, once to Daisuke Sasaki and then to Tetsuya Endo who cashed in a special challenge contract. Takeshita bounced back by winning the King of DDT tournament and teaming with his All Out stablemates to win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championship. He capped off the year by defeating Endo to reclaim the KO-D Openweight Championship.

2020 saw Takeshita lose the 6-man tag title but find new success with a new stable, The37Kamiina. He and his partner Shunma Katsumata won the Ultimate Tag League tournament. In early 2021, their previous stable All Out disbanded, but Takeshita continued his journey in DDT with The37Kamiina.

All Elite Wrestling - AEW (2021 - Present)

Takeshita dipped his toes into the American wrestling scene in 2021. He joined All Elite Wrestling (AEW) for teaming with The Elite (Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and Michael Nakazawa) in a losing effort. Takeshita quickly made his mark on AEW's YouTube show "Dark: Elevation" by securing a victory over Danny Limelight.

After a brief stint in 2021, Takeshita returned to AEW in April 2022, kicking things off with a win. He faced challenges from established names like Jay Lethal and "Hangman" Adam Page, garnering praise for their exciting matches.

Despite losses to Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley, Takeshita continued to impress, even earning a shot at the interim world championship. He eventually signed a full-time contract with AEW in November while remaining with DDT.

In a shocking turn of events at Double or Nothing 2023, Takeshita betrayed his friend Kenny Omega, siding with Don Callis and the Blackpool Combat Club. He teamed up with PAC and the Blackpool Combat Club in the brutal Blood and Guts match against The Elite but fell short. At All In, he defeated Kenny Omega in a Six-Man Tag Team Match and the next week at All Out, Takeshita defeated The Cleaner in a singles match.
