Lance Stephenson: A Brief Biography
Lance Stephenson Jr. is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA. He was drafted with the 40th overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft by the Indiana Pacers and also played for the Hornets, Clippers, Grizzlies, Pelicans and the Timberwolves.
Stephenson played college basketball for Cincinnati, In his only season at Cincinnati, He averaged 12.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per game, He scored a season-high 23 points against Georgetown on March 6, 2010, and was named as the Big East Rookie of the Year.
He made his NBA debut for the Pacers on February 27, 2011, in a 110-108 loss to the Phoenix Suns. With an injury to Danny Granger in the 2012-13 season, Stephenson had a breakthrough year as he averaged 8.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.
He improved further in the 2013-14 season as he posted career highs across the board in a starting role, He finished 2nd in the NBA Most Improved Player Award voting. He then had short stints with the Hornets, Clippers, Grizzlies, Pelicans, Timberwolves before returning to Indiana and now plays for the Lakers.
On March 11, 2016, he scored a career-high 33 points in a 121–114 overtime win over the New Orleans Pelicans while playing for the Grizzlies.
