Rhyne Howard is a professional WNBA player. She was drafted in 2022 with the 1st overall pick by the Atlanta Dream, where she still plays, as of July 2024. Howard was a highly sought-after player throughout her high school and college days and became even more famous, after impressing in her debut season in the WNBA. She won the Rookie of the Year award in 2022 and was also named a WNBA All-Star in the same year. She has 2 All-Star nominations as of July 2024.

In her college, University of Kentucky, where she played from 2018 to 2022, she is regarded as a splendid offensive player. She became a unanimous First-Team All-American in 2021 and was subsequently selected into 3 First All-American teams. She is also a WBCA Coaches All-American (2021) and was also the USBWA National Freshman of the Year in 2019. Apart from these, she was also the FIBA AmeriCup MVP in the 2021 season. Howard has currently been selected into the Women’s Basketball team for the 2024 Olympics.
