About

UP Warriorz is a women's cricket franchise based in Lucknow, the capital city of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Capri Global Holdings Pvt. Ltd owns the franchise, and the team was bought for INR 757 crores in January 2023.
UP Warriorz is the only other franchise apart from Gujarat Giants to not have connections with the men's IPL. The Lucknow Super Giants in men's IPL is owned by the RPSG group and has no links with UP Warriorz. The franchise was led by Australian wicketkeeper-batter Alyssa Healy in the first two seasons. It finished third in the inaugural season and fourth in the WPL 2024. Healy was ruled out of WPL 2025 due to a recurring injury. In her place, Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma led the team in the third season. However, it proved to be a nightmare for her and the team, as UP-W finished in the last spot on the points table after managing just three victories in eight matches.
