Appearance
Jangmo-o is a small Pokemon that resembles a dinosaur and it walks on four legs with a plated head. There are six colorful scales on Jangmo-o’s back and the plated scale on top of its head is shaped into a yellow heart. Most of Jangmo-o’s body is gray with a black underside but it has a snarled mouth that seems to have pointed teeth. Each of its feet ends in three yellow pointed claws. It is a relatively small Pokemon at only 2 feet, or 0.6 meters, tall.
Behavior
Jangmo-o is a prideful, but humble, Pokemon and is known to fight fiercely but it also respects the stronger Pokemon in its tribe. They are known to be territorial and will attack intruders with the scale on its forehead. It is not known to back away from a challenge and will fight valiantly until it or its opponent falls in battle. Jangmo-o can communicate with one another through the metallic ringing of their scales while also using the sound to intimidate its opponents.
Strengths and Weaknesses
As a base evolution Pokemon, Jangmo-o doesn’t have too many strengths which is especially the case as a base evolution dragon type. That is because it requires a good deal of investment before it shows its true potential. It has a decent physical defense for a base evolution Pokemon, but the rest of its stats are fairly mediocre. As a monotype dragon Pokemon, Jangmo-o takes 2x damage from ice, dragon, and fairy type moves. It is immune to no types, but is resistant against fire, water, grass, and electric type moves.
Best Moveset
As a base evolution Pokemon, Jangmo-o is exclusively limited to the LC (Little Cup) bracket of competitive play. In this format it only has to face other base evolution Pokemon giving it a fighting chance to succeed. It is typically used as an offensive option, although it requires a decent amount of set up. Consider running Dragon Dance, Outrage/Dragon Claw, Earthquake, and Brick Break/Substitute. Dragon Dance can help Jangmo-o set up a sweep, Outrage/Dragon Claw are interchangeable as the dragon STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) options while Earthquake is used for type coverage. Finally, either Brick Break or Substitute are interchangeable depending on whether you prefer an offensive or defensive set respectively.

Earthquake | Brick Break/Substitute |
How to Catch Jangmo-o in Pokemon Go
Unfortunately, Jangmo-o is not currently available for capture in Pokemon Go. As it is part of the pseudo-legendary dragon type of this generation, it is likely to be introduced once the developers release generation seven Pokemon into the game. Until then, we will not know for sure if Jangmo-o can hatch from eggs, if it will appear as a raid boss, or how many candies it will require for evolution. It is likely to need 25 candies to evolve into Hakamo-o and another 100 to evolve into Kommo-o. Once Jangmo-o is released into the game, you can expect to find it spawning in the wild nearby golf courses and landmarks.
