2024’s global rendition of the Pokemon GO Fest is set to arrive on July 13. With this in mind, many trainers are gearing up for the abundance of creatures they are sure to see during the event. However, some players may have their sights set on a different kind of rare Pocket Monster.

Shiny Pokemon are variants of standard creatures that sport an altered color. While these creatures provide no tactical advantage, many trainers still like to collect them due to their sheer rarity.

Here are 10 shiny Pokemon players should keep an eye out for during Pokemon GO Fest: Global.

10 shiny Pokemon to find during Pokemon GO Fest 2024: Global

1) Buzzwole

Pokemon GO Fest: Global's Five-Star Raid Bosses include Ultra Beasts like Legendary Necrozma. During this event, every creature that appears in these raids will have the chance of around 1 in 20 of being in its shiny form when it is encountered after the fight.

Buzzwole is a decent battler in the Master League, so its shiny variant will be exceptionally valuable.


2) Jangmo-o

Jangmo-o can be obtained through One-Star Raid Battles or via hunting during the Shining Day habitat section of GO Fest: Global.

This Pocket Monster evolves into Kommo-o, the Pseudo-Legendary of the Alola region. With it being a sought-after creature already, its shiny form only amplifies its value.


3) Gible

Gible will be available to encounter in the wild in the Creeping Dusk habitat of GO Fest: Global.

Gible is a Dragon and Ground-type Pokemon that evolves into Garchomp, the Pseudo-Legendary of the Sinnoh region. With it also having a Mega Evolution, players can gain the shiny variant of a great battler and an even better Mega for Raid Battles.


4) Phantump

Phantump is one of the many creatures that will make an appearance in the Creeping Dusk habitat of GO Fest: Global. It is a Ghost- and Grass-type Pocket Monster that evolves into Trevenant, one of the best Grass-type critters players can use in the competitive Battle League.

More specifically, Trevenant is a powerful contender in Pokemon GO's Great League tier of play.


5) Galarian Stunfisk

Galarian Stunfisk is a Steel- and Ground-type regional variant that will make an appearance in GO Fest: Global's Dawn Meadow habitat.

This creature's typing and access to certain coverage moves makes it incredibly potent in competitive battling, so trainers interested in that facet of gameplay will not want to miss this opportunity to get it.


6) Dratini

Dratini is another wild encounter that will spawn during GO Fest: Global's Shining Day habitat.

Much like Jangmo-o and Gible, Dratini is the base form of a Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon. However, Dratini's final evolution, Dragonite, is consistently one of the best performers Pokemon GO's Master League, making its shiny form very valuable for many hardcore battlers.

Charmander is another creature that can spawn in GO Fest: Global's Shining Day habitat. It is a pure Fire-type Pocket Monster and evolves into Charizard, a popular Fire-type battler for the game's competitive scene.

In addition, Charizard also has two different Mega Evolutions, making it a great choice for Raid Battles.


8) Gligar

Gligar is set to make an appearance during GO Fest: Global's Darkest Night habitat.

Gligar is a Ground- and Flying-type creature, which has an incredible type combination in terms of both offense and defense. It is favored by those who challenge official Pokemon GO tournaments for this reason, so having its shiny form will surely be a bragging right among battlers.


9) Costumed Pikachu

Two distinct versions of Pikachu sporting different crowns will appear in GO Fest: Global's Dawn Meadows and Creeping Dusk habitats.

In the Dawn Meadows section of the event, players can find a PIkachu with a crown themed around the sun. A Pikachu with a crown resembling the moon can be found in Creeping Dusk.


10) Necrozma

Necrozma is the big attraction behind this year's rendition of GO Fest: Global. With a new fusion mechanic, Necrozma can fuse with Solgaleo or Lunala to take on different forms.

Necrozma can be encountered through Five-Star Raid Battles and is a pure Psychic-type critter. This means teams of players should have no problem taking it down with Dark-type Pokemon.
