One of the Pokemon franchise's most anticipated events, the 2024 Pokemon World Championships, is finally here. Kicking things off in one of the flashiest ways possible, the event opened with a breathtaking drone show, welcoming visitors to Honolulu.

Shared online by PokeBeach on X, the 10-minute video of the drone show has captured the hearts of Pokemon fans across the globe. The show featured various creatures fitting the tropical theme like Azumarill, Bellossom, Squirtle, Psyduck, and many more. Here is what the community had to say about this beautiful opening to the Pokemon World Championships.

Flashy opening ceremonies are no strange concept to The Pokemon Company, with last year's event hosted in Japan having a drone show as well. These performances use lights on drones to create various images and even animations in the sky. This show was enjoyed by fans of the franchise and casual onlookers alike.
