Best Pokemon to catch in the Pokemon GO Aquatic Paradise, according to utility and rarity
1) Horsea evolves into Kindgra
During the Pokemon GO Aquatic Paradise event, you can catch Horsea, a Water-type creature that evolves into the dual Water- and Dragon-type Kingdra. The Pocket Monster can be obtained in the wild, and you can activate the Lure Module at PokeStops and Incense on yourself to boost its spawn rate.
The run time of Aquatic Paradise is three days, and through active participation, you can collect Horsea Candies to trigger the evolution process. However, Horsea also requires Dragon Scale to evolve. By giving the Pocket Monster Dragon Scale and feeding it 50 Candies, you will get Kingdra.
2) Wingull evolves into Pelipper
Wingull is a dual Water- and Flying-type Pokemon that has the potential to become a top critter in the Pokemon GO Battle League.
In Aquatic Paradise, Wingull makes its appearance as a wild Pocket Monster alongside Staryu and Clamper. Although its spawn rate is high during the event, activating Lure Modules at PokeStops in Rainy or Sunny Weather can boost it more. To enhance the effect a little further, you can use Incense.
You can feed Wingull 50 Candies to evolve it into Pelipper, which is a powerful entity in the Great and Ultra Leagues.
3) Corphish evolves into Crawdaunt
The Pokemon GO Aquatic Paradise event features Corphish in the wild and as a Field Research task reward. This crab-like Pocket Monster receives a spawn boost on this occasion, and when you visit places with Rainy weather conditions, your chances of encountering it increase significantly.
Corphish can evolve into Crawdaunt when it is fed 50 Candy. Crawdaunt has a great moveset for PvE battles.
4) Shiny Ducklett evolves into Shiny Swanna
Shiny Ducklett’s and Shiny Swanna’s global introduction is getting close, and the Pokemon GO Aquatic Paradise will be incomplete without encountering them.
Like all Shiny Pokemon, these rare variants of Ducklett and Swanna are hard to obtain. However, their regular forms will make frequent appearances during the event, and this rate will be much higher in Foggy and Rainy weather.
You can use Lure Module and Incense to increase the already buffed spawn rate of Ducklett. After catching one, you can give it 50 Candies to evolve it into Swanna. You can do the same for Shiny Duckett and Shiny Swanna.
5) Frillish evolves into Jellicent
Jellicent evolves from Frillish, which can be obtained in the Pokemon GO Aquatic Paradise event by completing certain Field Research Tasks. You can also catch it in the wild.
You can spin PokeStops to receive Field Research tasks, but note that only some of them reward you with Frillish encounters. However, the likelihood of encountering this Water-type species in the wild is much higher.
You can collect Frillish Candies by playing through Aquatic Paradise. Once you have the required consumables, you can feed Frillish 50 Candies to evolve it into the rare Jellicent. Shiny forms of these creatures will also return during the event.
