Pokemon GO's Legendary Heroes, which begins on September 26, 2024, will feature many Shiny Pokemon for dedicated trainers to collect. This event will also bring a new shiny variant into the game, which many fans of the franchise have been anticipating for a long time.
With Legendary Heroes featuring a split Timed Research path, the species players can encounter will vary drastically depending on what is chosen. This also greatly expands the amount of Shiny Pokemon each player can encounter depending on the path that is chosen.
Here are five of the best Shiny Pokemon players can find during Legendary Heroes.

5 of the best Shiny Pokemon in Pokemon GO's Legendary Heroes event
1) Galarian Darumaka
Galarian Darumaka can be found in One-Star Raid Battles and wild encounters during Pokemon GO's Legendary Heroes event. This creature is known for evolving into arguably the strongest Galarian variant in the game, Galarian Darmanitan.
Galarian Darmanitan is a star performer in Raid Battles, especially with a lot of Raid Bosses boasting a Dragon typing. Having its shiny variant would be quite the trophy to show off. Hunting it through raids would be optimal since creatures encountered through this method have a high chance of possessing higher IVs.
2) Goomy
Shiny Goomy can be found in One-Star Raids during the Legendary Heroes event. Unlike Galarian Darumaka, Goomy cannot be found in the wild, leaving it only available through this method. It may start off as the weakest Dragon-type critter, but it eventually evolves into Goodra.

Goodra may have had an underwhelming history, but ever since its Community Day event, the creature has become one of the most oppressive threats in the Ultra and Master Leagues. Since it is only available through One-Star Raids, players have a much higher chance of receiving one with higher IVs.
3) Koffing
Koffing can be found through wild encounters, and this is the only method of encountering it during Legendary Heroes.
What makes Shiny Koffing so special is that it can evolve into Galarian Weezing while the event is active. This is a crucial time for PvP players and shiny hunters as Galarian Weezing is typically only found during events that offer it through raids.
Galarian Weezing is a great choice for the Great and Ultra Leagues, thanks to its unique Fairy and Poison typing. It may be hard to find one with favorable stats, as wild Pokemon have random IVs.
4) Jangmo-o
Jangmo-o is another Pseudo-Legendary that players can encounter through One-Star Raid Battles during the Legendary Heroes event.
While not as potent in higher tiers of play as Goodra, Jangmo-o's final evolution, Kommo-o, still has its fair share of fans following its breathtaking debut as a Totem Pokemon boss in Pokemon Sun and Moon.

Kommo-o is a Dragon- and Fighting-type critter. The Pocket Monster and its pre-evolved form are the only creatures to possess this type combination in Pokemon GO right now. While this leads to a potent offensive combo, the glaring downside is that it leaves the creature open to Fairy-type attacks.
Of course, being a Raid Battle encounter, any Jangmo-o caught through these battles likely has higher IVs.
5) Zacian
Shiny Zacian makes its grand debut in Pokemon GO's Legendary Heroes event. Outside of the card game, the critter has never been available before outside of one special GameStop distribution for Pokemon Sword and Shield to commemorate the release of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Shiny Zacian can be found in Five-Star Raid Battles, with its standard rate of appearing in the form being around 1 in 20. This is the best opportunity players have to catch it for the forseeable future.
Shiny hunters for the main series titles can even catch a Shiny Zacian in Pokemon GO and send it to their main series title through the Pokemon Home application.
