Shiny Pokemon are among the most interesting parts of Niantic's Pokemon GO. These color-swapped versions of established creatures are incredibly rare, only appearing in the wild approximately once per 500 spawns. While many of these altered paletttes can greatly improve on the design of a creature, others end up being less than favorable.
Various shiny Pocket Monsters have unappealing new color schemes or look practically identical to their base forms. Here are the five least appealing shiny variants players can find in Pokemon GO.

5 of the least appealing shiny Pokemon in Pokemon GO
1) Blissey
Blissey is known for being one of the best stamina tanks for defending gyms in Pokemon GO. While its pre-evolved form, Chansey, has a decent-looking shiny form with various shades of green where pink would usually be, many fans were hoping for a bit more from Blissey, as it only turns slightly paler.
The introduction of Happiny has made getting Blissey significantly harder for many trainers since they now have to evolve a creature twice to get one. Overall, collectors may want to skip out on shiny Blissey if they do not already have a shiny Chansey.
2) Garchomp
Shiny Garchomp is a bit disappointing due to its lack of substancial change. It only got a shade lighter. This is sad to see, given how Gible's shiny form is great, and Gabite's looks nice with its darker blue body and the light blue accents on its head rings.
Thankfully, Game Freak got a chance to redeem themselves with the release of Garchomp's Mega Evolution, which fixed various shiny forms that fans complained about. Garchomp goes from a boring color scheme to a bright magenta, with darker accents at the blades of its new claws.
3) Gengar
Gengar was more of a noticable black in the 2D sprite main series games. However, the franchise's transition into 3D saturated a lot of the color palettes for a lot of creatures, leaving Gengar's shiny variant much less noticable in modern titles like Pokemon GO.
Once again, shiny Gengar is saved by its amazing Mega Evolution, turning its whole body from deep purple to white, completely flipping the color dynamic of the creature.
4) Druddigon
While Druddigon's shiny palette is drastically different from its base form, its colors simply do not go together well. There is a known distaste for green shiny Pokemon in the franchise's community, so many fans were quick to point out their distaste for shiny Druddigon.
Druddigon is a relatively underwhelming Dragon-type critter in terms of viability in Pokemon GO, so having its shiny variant would really only be good for collecting purposes.
5) Dragonite
Dragonite is the original Pseudo-Legendary critters and one of Pokemon GO's most consistent battlers in the Master League. This means players will actively want to use its shiny variant if they get their hands on it.
Unfortunately, Dragonite's shiny form does not retain the pink coloring of its pre-evolved forms' shiny variants. Instead, it turns a deep green, with the insides of its wings turning purple.
Dragonite's rarer form sporting green scales and purple wings makes it feel like a bootleg cartoon dragon, which signficantly undercuts the design quality of the original.
