The Pokemon GO Aquatic Paradise event will release Shiny Ducklett and Shiny Swanna globally. These Shiny variants may be the major highlight of this event, but there are many more that you may want to get your hands on. Shiny Pokemon are challenging to encounter in the game, let alone obtain. As a result, trainers have to rely on the hunting and gathering method to find and collect them.

In this list, we will share the five rare Pocket Monsters that you can hunt during the Aquatic Paradise run.

For the first time, global trainers will have the opportunity to encounter and obtain Shiny Ducklett at Pokemon GO Aquatic Paradise. Its final form, Shiny Swanna, will also be introduced, however, it can only be obtained through the evolution process. You will need to roam in areas sporting Rain and Windy weather conditions because this is the Ducklet’s natural habitat.

In this habitat, the chances of encountering a wild Ducklett are very high, with the Shiny Ducklett's appearance rate also slightly improved. Yet, the likelihood of coming across the latter is still very low, making it a rare Pokemon to hunt at this event.

2) Shiny Frillish

Shiny Frillish can be obtained in various ways at the Pokemon GO Aquatic Paradise, including catching in the wild or through the encounter rewards offered after the completion of the Field Research Tasks. To receive these quests, you can spin PokeStops. Meanwhile, you will also want to attach a Lure Module at PokeStops to improve the spawn rate of wild Pokemon featured in this event, including Frillish and Shiny Frillish.

Incense can also be turned on to further the boost of the lure effect. The Water-type-based event features Frillish and Shiny Frillish as Incense encounters. So there's a fair chance you might be able to find the latter. Moreover, you will want to stay in Rainy and Foggy weather sites to further improve your chances of encountering these Pokemon.

3) Shiny Finneon

Shiny Finneon in Pokemon GO Aquatic Paradise will only be encounterable in the wild when Incense is used on trainers. Additionally, the Field Research Tasks will award you with its encounter when they are completed. Like all Shiny Pokemon that you want to hunt on this occasion, it’s best to visit Shiny Finneon’s natural spawning locations to encounter.

Rainy is the suitable weather type for both regular and Shiny Finneon in the mobile game. That said, use your weather forecasting apps to figure out which parts of your surroundings are raining. The real-world and in-game weather is usually similar, so you can encounter Shiny Finneon with this approach.

4) Shiny Wingull

Another rare Pokemon you may want to keep an eye out for is Shiny Wingull, which evolves into Shiny Pelipper, a strong critter for the Great and Ultra Leagues. In Pokemon GO Aquatic Paradise, you can find the Water and Flying-type Wingull in the wild. Like Shiny Ducklett and Shiny Swanna, the favorable weather types for the Shiny variant of Wingull are Rainy and Windy.

It doesn’t matter which weather you choose since either will boost the spawn rate of a Wild Wingull and its Shiny version. However, the latter is difficult to spot. Even so, you should activate the Lure Module and Incense to enhance the luck factor.

5) Shiny Shellder

Shiny Shellder is the final rare Pokemon on this list for the Pokemon GO Aquatic Paradise event. It is a solo Water-type species whose real habitat in-game is Rainy weather areas. You may not encounter the Shiny Pokemon otherwise.

That said, use the Lure Module and Incense at and around PokeStops located in these areas to improve the overall rate of any variant of Shellder’s spawns.
