With summer quickly approaching, many Pokemon GO players have their focus set on the upcoming GO Fest 2024 series of events. As usual, GO Fest will feature both a global celebration later in the summer, as well as several in-person venues across the world for the dedicated few who want to access GO Fest 2024's content before the majority of the playerbase.
Many valuable monsters are set to appear during GO Fest 2024 Madrid, which is set to start on June 16. For players who will be in the area during that time, knowing the rarest creatures that can be seen throughout the event may be helpful.
Here are the five rarest Pokemon players can find.

5 rarest Pokemon GO encounters set to appear during GO Fest 2024 Madrid
1) Marshadow
Marshadow is a Mythical Pokemon introduced in the Alola region much like Necrozma, Solgaleo, and Lunala. Much like how it was released in Pokemon GO, it first came to the main series through a special event. In the mobile game, players can get this creature by completing the special research obtained when attending one of these events.
Marshadow is a Fighting and Ghost-type Pokemon with incredibly potent attacking power as well as a signature move. However, there has been no confirmation that its signature move will be present when it debuts. This could mean Marshadow would return one day sporting its iconic Spectral Thief attack.
2) Necrozma
Necrozma is the big draw to GO Fest 2024 this year as its mascot Legendary Pokemon. Its introduction also brings the new fusion mechanic that was mysteriously absent for Kyurem and its two alternate forms. Necrozma can fuse with either Solgaleo or Lunala to make either its Dawn Wings or Dusk Mane form.
Necrozma will be available through completing its respective Five-Star Raid Battle. As stated on the official Pokemon GO website, it will appear in these raids in its base form, so players should have a much easier time taking it down compared to if they had to go against its alternates, since its base form has lower stats and is a pure Psychic-type.
3) Beldum
Beldum is one of the many wild encounters that can spawn in the mysterious labyrinth habitat during the in-person GO Fest 2024 events. It also has the chance of appearing in its rare shiny variant as well. As a base form for a Pseudo-Legendary, Beldum is incredibly rare in Pokemon GO.
Thankfully, players should have a much easier time finding mass amounts of Beldum during the event. Players will need to catch as many as they can to collect the large amount of candies required to ultimately evolve Beldum into Metagross, one of the best creatures in Pokemon GO.
4) Unown Question Mark
Unown is arguably the worst battler in the Pokemon franchise. However, it is incredibly popular among collectors thanks to the many different forms of the monster there are to find. Since these creatures do not really have much value and would most likely clog spawn rates if they were available all the time, they only appear for special events.
None of these variants of Unown are more rare than the exclamation point and the question mark. For GO Fest 2024 Madrid, the question mark variant will rarely be available during all habitat hours. Additionally, players who are lucky enough can find one of these question mark Unowns in its even rarer shiny variant.
5) Klefki
Klefki may not be the best battler in Pokemon GO either, but it is another incredibly rare monster held in high value by most collectors. This is due to it being one of the few monsters in the game to only spawn in a specific country. Normally, Klefki is only available in France, but Niantic has confirmed it will be present at all in-person celebrations of GO Fest 2024.
While many trainers may just be happy to fill out that one last spot in their Kalos Pokedex, some other collectors may be disappointed to learn that Klefki's shiny variant will not be available.
