Pokemon GO Holiday Part 2 will release four new Shiny Pokemon for trainers to collect, whereas the other segmented half of this festivity debuted three new shiny monsters: Holiday Attire Dedenne, Sandygast, and Palossand. Interestingly, most featured creatures in both parts of the events have their shiny versions available, except for Zebstrika, Toucannon, and Lampent. These strategically planned occasions have collectors excited for their hunting.
Once again, trainers will see the debut of new Pokemon and their shiny variants — Holiday Attire Wooloo, Holiday Attire Dubwool, Cetoddle, and Cetitan. In this article, we list five Shiny Pokemon to hunt at Pokemon GO Holiday Part 2.

Five Shiny Pokemon worth collecting during Pokemon GO Holiday Part 2
1) Shiny Holiday Attire Wooloo
Shiny Holiday Attire Wooloo will be available in the wild and as Incense encounters with the start of Pokemon GO Holiday Part 2. The event will run from December 22, 2024, at 10 am, to December 27, 2024, at 8 pm local time.
During this period, players can find this costumed Wooloo in areas that experience Partly Cloudy weather. Importantly, it will appear as Incense finds on December 22, 24, and 26 this year.
To improve the spawn rate of this Pocket Monster — although very challenging to encounter one — players should utilize Lure Modules and Incense. These items can help draw Shiny Holiday Attire Wooloo to the playing location. However, it will be tough for collectors to get this costumed Shiny Pokemon at Pokemon GO Holiday Part 2.
2) Shiny Snorlax
The likelihood of coming across Shiny Snorlax can be strategically improved on December 22, 24, and 26, 2024, since on these days, the monster will appear in the wild as Incense encounters. On different days of Pokemon GO Holiday Part 2, Snorlax, the Sleeping Pokemon, will be unavailable as Incense encounters.
However, collectors can challenge three-star raids featuring Snorlax for the entire duration of this event. If lucky, they will be able to encounter Shiny Snorlax by winning these battles or finding one using Incense.
Here are some counters to use against Snorlax:
- Mega Lucario: Force Palm and Aura Sphere
- Mega Heracross: Counter and Close Combat
- Terrakion: Counter and Focus Blast
- Shadow Conkeldurr: Counter and Dynamic Punch
- Cobalion: Double Kick and Sacred Sword
- Hawlucha: Low Kick and Flying Press
3) Shiny Cetoddle
Cetoddle will emerge as a one-star Raid Boss at the Pokemon GO Holiday Part 2 event. Players can defeat this Pocket Monster, also known as Terra Whale Pokemon, and get their hands on Cetoddle or its Shiny variation. Activating Incense on December 23, 25, and 27 of this year will help you encounter these versions.
Note that the chance to encounter Shiny Cetoddle will only be boosted in raids.
These are the counters to take down Cettodle in Pokemon GO raids:
- Dusk Mane Necrozma: Metal Claw and Sunsteel Strike
- Mega Lucario: Force Palm and Aura Sphere
- Mega Blaziken: Fire Spin and Overheat
- Heatan: Fire Spin and Magma Storm
- Shadow Metagross: Bullet Punch and Meteor Mash
- Reshiram: Fire Fang and Fusion Flare

4) Shiny Altered Giratina
At the Pokemon GO Holiday Part 2 event, Altered Forme Giratina will appear in 5-star Raid Battles. This Legendary Pokemon is one of the major attractions of this event, encouraging trainers to defeat as many of its battles as possible to eventually find a Shiny Altered Giratina.
The probability of getting this Shiny Pokemon among all the featured raids will be higher since it will have shiny odds of 1-in-20. However, winning these battles requires strong counters, the help of friends, and a constant search for Gyms hosting these raids.
Here are the counters to beat Altered Giratina in Pokemon GO:
- Mega Rayquaza: Dragon Tail and Breaking Swipe
- Garchomp: Dragon Tail and Outrage
- Mega Tyranitar: Bite and Brutal Swing
- Origin Forme Dialga: Dragon Breath and Roar of Time
- Shadow Salamence: Dragon Tail and Draco Meteor
- Origin Forme Palkia: Dragon Tail and Spacial Rend

5) Shiny Cetitan
Shiny Cetitian will be introduced at the start of the Pokemon GO Holiday Part 2. However, this Shiny Pokemon will not get a direct feature in the wild, in raids, in eggs, or research tasks. The only ways to obtain Shiny Cetitan are to evolve Shiny Cetoddle into one or receive the Pokemon by trading with an in-game friend.
Trainers can evolve Shiny Cetoddle into Shiny Cetitan by utilizing 50 Cetoddle Candies. So, if they have stored these Candies in the game before, they can use them to trigger the evolution once this Shiny Pocket Monster is in their possession.
