With the new season hitting the road, collectors may want to get their horses ready to encounter and capture Shiny Pokemon.

The first occasion for them to partake in is Just My Cup Of Tea, where it will debut Sinistea, the Black Tea Pokemon, and its Evolution, Polteageist, as well as Shiny Chill Genesect.

Here is a list of the five Shiny creatures worth hunting for during the run of Pokemon GO Just My Cup of Tea.

Shiny Chill Genesect, Shiny Miltank, and three other Shiny Pokemon worth encountering at Pokemon GO Just My Cup of Tea

1) Shiny Chill Drive Genesect

For the first time in the mobile game, trainers will be able to encounter Shiny Chill Drive Genesect by beating 5-star raids or receiving a reward when completing matches in the GO Battle League — if they’re lucky. Chill Genesect raids will begin as soon as the Pokemon GO Just My Cup of Tea initiates.

Chill Drive Genesect is a Mythcal Bug- and Steel-type Pokemon and is extremely weak to Fire-type attacks. That said, use the following Pokemon GO Fire-type counters in Sunny Weather to make them incredibly powerful against Chill Genesect 5-star raids:

  • Mega Blaziken: Fire Spin and Blast Burn
  • Heatran: Fire Spin and Magma Storm
  • Chandelure: Fire Spin and Overheat
  • Reshiram: Fire Fang and Fusion Flare
  • Shadow Entei: Fire Spin and Overheat
  • Infernape: Fire Spin and Blast Burn
  • Typhlosion: Incinerate and Blast Burn

2) Shiny Mega Banette

Shiny collectors should set their eyes on grabbing a Shiny Mega Banette by beating Mega Banette in Mega Raids during the Pokemon GO Just My Cup of Tea event. It’s worth noting that the Mega Raids have shiny chances of 1-64, which means one may need to take down at least 64 Mega Banette raids to come across a Shiny one; otherwise, get lucky.

The journey of adding a Shiny Mega Banette to the collection is full of challenges, but this praiseworthy one boasts power, utility, and colors that perfectly blend with its design.

That said, here are the counters for Mega Banette raids happening in Pokemon GO Just My Cup of Tea:

  • Mega Tyranitar: Bite and Brutal Swing
  • Shadow Tyranitar: Bite and Brutal Swing
  • Dawn Wings Necorzma: Psycho Cut and Moongiest Beam
  • Darkrai: Snarl and Shadow Ball
  • Shadow Weavile: Snarl and Foul Play
  • Incineroar: Snarl and Darkest Lariat
  • Primal Groudon: Mud Shot and Precipice Blades

3) Shiny Bombirdier

One of the three 3-star raids that will take place with the start of Pokemon GO Just My Cup of Tea is Bombirdier’s, and the other two are Hisuian Braviary’s and Galarian Mr. Mime’s.

Also known as the Item Drop Pokemon, it is vulnerable to Electric-, Fairy-, Ice-, and Rock-type attacks. These moves can be taught to strong monsters to create a countering lineup against Bombirdier’s raids so that players can defeat it and get a Shiny encounter.

Counters for Bombirdier 3-star raids:

  • Mega Diancie: Rock Throw and Rock Slide
  • Raikou: Thunder Shock and Wild Charge
  • Zekrom: Charge Beam and Fusion Bolt
  • Xurkitree: Thunder Shock and Discharge
  • Shadow Rhyperior: Smack Down and Rock Wrecker
  • Shadow Zapdos: Thundershock and Thunderbolt
  • Tapu Koko: Volt Switch and Nautre’s Madness

4) Shiny Miltank

Miltank and its Shiny version are Normal-type Pokemon, and if trainers want to encounter it in the wild during Pokemon GO Just My Cup of Tea, they must play the mobile game in Partly Cloudy weather. This is because this weather condition boosts the spawn rate of these species. Notably, they can only be encountered using an Incense in this event.

The encounter rate of a Shiny Miltank is 1-512, thus, the likelihood of finding one from the effect of Incense is very low. Nevertheless, Pokemon GO Just My Cup of Tea tells us that the Shiny odds of all Incense encounters are boosted. So, there is an opportunity for trainers to come across a Shiny one.

5) Shiny Taillow

Completionists and collectors believe obtaining Taillow is difficult in GO because Niantic does not feature it as often as it does with other wild spawns in events. However, the good news is that Pokemon GO Just My Cup of Tea is just the right one to participate in to find one. But, since we are looking forward to grabbing a Shiny Taillow, do note that it is going to be a more challenging job.

The soundest way to encounter a Shiny Taillow in the wild is to search for it in Partly Cloudy and Windy weather. Use Lure Modules and Incense, items that boost wild spawns, in either of these weather conditions to hunt down a Shiny variation of Tiny Swallow Pokemon.
