Introduction of Necrozma, GBL updates, and more things to look forward to in Pokemon GO in June 2024
1) The arrival of Necrozma
Necrozma, which is a Psychic-type Pokemon, will arrive in Pokemon GO in June 2024. Niantic has already introduced the Prism Pokemon, but it will release its two new forms this month.
There is a Fusion mechanic in the Pokemon franchise that allows Necrozma to fuse with Solgaleo and Lunala. However, this feature will only work when trainers have Solar Fusion Energy and Lunar Fusion Energy.
When a Necrozma fuses with a Solgaleo, it will turn into Dusk Mane Necrozma. Meanwhile, Dawn Wings Necrozma will be born when Necrozma fuses with Lunala. However, players will need Fusion Energy to make this happen.
Trainers can collect Fusion Energy by winning 5-star Raid Battles that feature Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma.
2) The return of some powerful 5-star Raid Bosses
Each new Pokemon GO season returns many powerful Legendary Pokemon to the playerbase via 5-star Raid Battles. Shared Skies will bring back Zapdos, Incarnate Forme Landorus, Ho-Oh, and Yveltal to the game.
Zapdos, a powerhouse from the Legendary Bird Trio, will be the first encounterable Raid Boss. It will be available from June 1, 2024, to June 10, 2024.
Incarnate Forme Landorus, which is a proud member of the Forces of Nature, will be the second to join Raid Battles. This form will stay in raids from June 10, 2024, to June 19, 2024. While Yveltal will be the third Raid Boss from June 19, 2024, to June 28, 2024, Ho-Oh will be the last one to arrive.
Pokemon GO trainers will have to build proper counters for these Legendaries if they want to battle and catch them.
3) Encounter shiny Emolga
Shiny Emolga will make its global appearance in Pokemon GO in June 2024. Emolga’s shiny variant, which is one of the highlights of the GO Fest 2024: Sendai, will be catchable via various means.
Stadium Sights is the first event of the Shared Skies season, featuring multiple Fighting- and Flying-type species. Among them, Emolga is the center of attention as it will appear in the game for the first time.
During the Stadium Sights event's runtime, Shiny Emolga can be found in the wild, via 7 KM Eggs, Field Research Tasks, and Paid Time Research.
Trainers will need to utilize lure items like Lure Module and Incense for wild encounters. Additionally, they will have to incubate 7 KM Eggs and walk the exact distance.
Spinning PhotoDiscs of PokeStops will grant research tasks to earn Emolga’s encounters, while the Paid Time Research can be bought for US$1.99.
4) June Community Day
Niantic has revealed that there will be two Pokemon GO Community Days in June 2024, featuring two unique Pocket Monsters. Goomy will be the first critter to appear, while Cyndaquil will be the second.
Goomy will spawn in the overworld in high frequency from 2 PM to 5 PM on June 9, 2024. This event offers numerous bonuses like 2x Catch Candy and a three-hour Lure Module that trainers should capitalize on.
Cyndaquil, a starter from Pokemon Gold, Silver, Crystal, HeartGold, and SoulSilver, is a reliable creature to have in your collection. Its Classic Community Day event will begin from 2 PM to 5 PM on June 22, 2024, presenting many opportunities to get it.
5) Pokemon GO Battle League
The Battle League is a PvP gameplay mode in Pokemon GO. It is divided into different sections based on Combat Power (CP). Usually, when Niantic does not make any changes, the PvP mode is divided into Great League, Ultra League, and Master League.
In June 2024, the Pokemon GO Battle League will hold the Ultra Premier, Master Premier, Summer Cup, Fossil Cup, Great League: Remix, Fantasy Cup: Great League Edition, and more. By joining and winning matches in these formats, trainers can earn various rewards, including different Pokemon encounters.
