Pokemon GO is home to many shiny Legendary Pokemon, which are typically obtained by completing Five-Star Raid Battles. However, some of these creatures, like Rayquaza or Ho-oh, get so much attention from the community that it can be easy to forget the others.

Top 5 underappreciated shiny legendaries in Pokemon GO
5) Tapu Koko
Tapu Koko, known for being the most aggressive of the Tapus, sports a black and orange pattern. While its standard variant also has a mostly-black body color, its shell is a bright yellow. This helps the base creature appear vibrant. However, its shiny form looks much more natural.
Released in January 2023, Shiny Tapu Koko has been available for quite some time now, and many players who are interested in the creature likely already have one in their collection.

4) Regirock
Regirock has been associated with arid deserts in the first two generations it appeared in. Being an ancient creature housed deep underground, it would make much more sense for it to be comprised of much denser material, making the darker color palette of its shiny variant feel like it was meant for its original form.
Shiny Regirock has been available in Pokemon GO since November 2019 and is quite popular in certain competitive battling formats. While many tend to prefer its brother, Registeel, Regirock is still an impressive defensive wall.

3) Latias
Shiny Latias features a bright orange-yellow body color, with lime-green accents on its eyes and triangles on its torso. Being known as the friendlier one of the Eon Duo, this color palette fits Latias, as the bright colors make it look much more pleasant.
Shiny Latias has been obtainable in Pokemon GO since February 2019. It is also one of the few Legendaries capable of Mega Evolution, essentially being a two-in-one deal for collectors.

2) Thundurus
Thundurus is arguably an over-designed creature, like the other members of its trio. For this reason, creating a shiny form for it — that is visually appealing — can be a bit difficult. However, Incarnate Thundurus hits the mark, brightening the color palette, and incorporating some great contrast with its light lavender body and the neon purple accents on its tail.
Shiny Thundurus has been in the game since March 2021, and its Therian form debuted in April 2022. While the Therian form is much better for battles, its goofy little dragon legs may leave its Incarnate counterpart the preferred variant for shiny collecting.

1) Terrakion
Terrakion's base form features a rather dull color palette of gray and brown, with some orange thrown in there. Its shiny form embraces the bright brown color hosted in its standard variant, leaving the aggressive and bold shades of crimson and blue of its accessories to be the main focus of its design, making it much more interesting to look at.
Terrakion has been in Pokemon GO for quite some time, with its shiny form being added in May 2020. Terrakion has always been a popular choice for Raid Battles thanks to its strong Rock- and Fighting-type attacks, as well as its great bulk.
