The upcoming Pokemon GO 8th Anniversary Party event will offer encounters with six Starters from different regions, Party Hat Kanto Starters, Shiny Celebi, Shiny Meltan, and more. Among the featured Pokemon, some PvP picks are useful in the GO Battle League, where the Master League is the hardest platform. Many players would be quite curious to learn how to hunt those for the competition.

We have prepared a list of seven strong PvP Pokemon to catch at the special 8th Anniversary Party event. Although these Pocket Monsters cannot be caught directly in the event, you can collect their first evolution and Pokemon Candies, which you can evolve into their final forms.

Note: This list is subjective and based on the author's opinion.

7 useful PvP Pokemon to get at Pokemon GO 8th Anniversary Party

1) Meganium

The Pokemon GO 8th Anniversary Party event allows you to get Meganium, the best Grass-type PvP pick for the Great League and Ultra League. A fully leveled-up Meganium has a CP of 2725, and since its Defense stat is so good, which is 202, you will be able to last long in tough battles, and possibly win them. This is because it is a top contender in those leagues.

2) Feraligatr

Feraligatr is the final evolution of the Starter Pokemon from Kanto, Totodile. Like Meganium, this Water-type Pokemon is good in the Great and Ultra League of the GO Battle League. It is super robust for Ultra League opponents, as PvPoke ranks Feraligatr in the top five meta critters. It can go toe-to-toe against Talonflame, Charizard, Greninja, and Deoxys (Defense).

3) Swampert

In a challenging PvP battle scenario, Swampert is a go-to pick. It is robust, and during the Pokemon GO 8th Anniversary Party event, you might be able to get your hands on it. The Great and Ultra League mode is filled with remarkable foes, feared even by well-known powerhouses. Among them is Swampert, a Hoenn Starter.

4) Empoleon

The fourth PvP Pokemon to look out for is Empoleon at the eighth-anniversary celebration. Empoleon, a Water and Steel-type Pokemon, has resistance against a wide variety of moves. Moreover, its CP is excellent, and with its attacking power, you can shake the grounds and roofs of the Great League and Ultra League’s arena.

5) Serperior

Make sure you remember to get Serperior in the Pokemon GO 8th Anniversary party event. This monster is an evolved form of Snivy, making them the Starter Pokemon from Unova. All the entries we've discussed so far are good in the Great League and Ultra League, and so is Serperior. Due to its battle capabilities, entities like Feraligatr, Azumarill, and Quagsire cannot stand a chance against it in league matches.

6) Chesnaught

To keep the party going, you should aim to obtain Chesnaught from this year's anniversary event. Your Chesnaught can be used in all formats of the GO Battle League. Actually, it is the only decent PvP fighter that can make quick work of many opponents. This Pokemon should always be at its full health because you never know when you will need a great Grass and Fighting-type Pokemon.

7) Greninja

Greninja is our last hand-picked best PvP Pokemon. The Pokemon GO 8th Anniversary Party event offers an opportunity to get Greninja, so get it, and use it in the Great League and Ultra League. When not used, this ninja Pokemon can be sent out in PvE battles, like Raids and Gym Attack.

The Pokemon GO 8th Anniversary Party will return the Shiny and regular forms of Starters, creatures rocking costumes like Party Hat or Cake Hat, rewards, and more. So, through this event, you can get the best PvP picks or even Pokemon with rarity and limited availability.
