7 Pokemon that will likely debut in Pokemon GO in 2025
1) Resolute Forme Keldeo
Keldeo is one of the rarest Mythical Pokemon in Pokemon GO, as it has only appeared once during December 2022. Niantic is yet to release Keldeo’s signature move, Secret Sword. This could be because Niantic intends to release Keldeo in its Resolute Forme sometime during 2025. A likely candidate for the accompanying Mythical Pokemon for a future GO Fest event may put its release date during the late summer.

2) Eternatus
Eternatus has been a boss many players have been looking forward to since the release of Dynamax and Gigantamax in Pokemon GO. Recent datamines have also detailed that Eternatus and its Eternamax form are present in the game’s files. With Max Battles still seeing support in the mobile game despite the conclusion of the Max Out season, it is possible that Eternatus, in one form or another, will make an appearance.

3) Kingambit
Kingambit is a new evolution for Bisharp, added in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. With many creatures from the Paldea region making their way into Pokemon GO, it is possible that Kingambit could debut in the mobile game through a potential Community Day for its base form, Pawniard. Kingambit is incredibly powerful in the main series and has its signature move, Kowtow Cleave, which would make for a perfect event-exclusive move.

4) Black Kyurem
With the upcoming GO Tour event in February of 2025 revolving around the Unova region, as well as the land's respective Legendaries, Kyurem could possibly come back as the main attraction for 2025's GO Fest, much like Necrozma for 2024. This would also be when Black Kyurem would finally make its appearance in Pokemon GO. This is the form Kyurem takes when it fuses with Zekrom.

5) White Kyurem
White Kyurem is the form taken when Kyurem forms with Reshiram. Being another fusion with a Unova Legendary, it would likely be added at the same time as Black Kyurem. The two creatures would likely also have access to Adventure Effects, given recent patterns established by Niantic for these types of yearly events, as well as how the game handles other Fusion Legendaries.

6) Pirouette Meloetta
With 2025's GO Tour event featuring the shiny variant of base-form Meloetta as its Mythical Pokemon, it would be fitting for its alternate appearance to finally make its debut during the summer's GO Fest event. Niantic has experimented with Pokemon that change their forms in the middle of a battle with Morpeko. It is possible that Niantic may implement a similar feature for this Mythical Pokemon with its signature move, Relic Song.

7) Mimikyu
Despite it being one of the most popular creatures from the Alola region, Mimikyu has not been added to Pokemon GO as of writing. Being a Ghost and Fairy-type Pokemon, it would be appropriate to fit its debut into the mobile game's 2025 Halloween round of events typically hosted in October.
