After Saree Pikachu, another Gen VIII 'mon gets ornamental Best Buddy ribbon

A Pokemon GO Best Buddy ribbon is an in-game item that can be worn by a Pokemon that reaches the Best Buddy status. Pocket Monsters with this special object get a combat power (CP) boost in the game, making them powerful contenders for Raids. Thanks to Niantic, some particular critters are now making use of this ribbon to make themselves appear cooler and more attractive. One such monster is a Pikachu wearing a Saree.

We recently covered an interesting community piece, where Redditor Spookishmulder took to the TheSliphroad Subreddit, showing how his Pokemon GO Saree Pikachu gets a Best Buddy ribbon, but the item places itself on its forehead.

Here is another Gen VIII pocket monster that sports this rare badge, but something unexpected happens with the placement yet again. Redditor Chadegibson said:

Toxtricity, Dynamax Toxtricity, and Gigantamax Toxtricity, along with their shiny versions, made their initial Pokemon GO debut during the Wild Area: Fukuoka. All of these form variations were introduced to worldwide trainers later at the global event.

The Redditor, who got a Gigantamax Toxtricity from Max Battles, might have hoped that a Best Buddy ribbon would show up somewhere else on its body, for example, on its chest. Instead, the item got placed on its right ear as an earring.

Replying to this post, CatchAmongUs claimed he was happy to set Toxtricity as a Buddy Pokemon since he will be able to earn the Best Buddy Badge as soon as possible. Thanks to Chadegibson, Pokemon GO community members got a chance to see this pocket monster with the Best Buddy ribbon in the game this early.

CreatorBeastGD entered the comment section to ask the Redditor to allow a quick peek at his Gigantamax Toxtricity with the badge. In reply, Chadegibson presented the shiny version of this G-Max Pokemon along with a background, which was obtainable during Wild Area.

Additionally, CreatorBeastGD mentioned that it would take a day to earn the Best Buddy ribbon for their Toxtricity. Thankfully, the user showcased their success at a later date.

How to get Best Buddy ribbon in Pokemon GO

If you want to get the Best Buddy badge in the mobile game, you’ll need to reach the Best Buddy status first. To achieve it, you must collect 300 Hearts.

Here is what you should do every day with a Buddy Pokemon:

• Give three Berries or a Golden Raps Berry.
• Take a snapshot, play with it, and start and exit a Trainer Battle.
• Repeat the above process four times to make the Buddy Pokemon excited.
• Once it becomes excited, every activity gives you double Hearts.
