Pokemon GO's upcoming Dual Destiny season is set to bring some big changes to the popular mobile game. Not only could there be some gameplay changes coming to the game, but some of the season's debuts have also been revealed.
Niantic has some interesting additions planned for this season, but the debuts shown so far seem to favor collectors more than the competitive community. Here are all the debuts coming to Niantic's mobile title in the Dual Destiny season that we know about so far.

Analyzing new additions for Pokemon GO's Dual Destiny season
Sinstea and Polteageist
So far, the most common addition players will be able to find is Sinistea, a pure Ghost-type from the Galar region. Its evolution, Polteageist, will also be added to the game at the same time. Information on the creatures is scarce at the moment, but leaks state that its Phony form will have a cost of 50 candies to evolve, while its Authentic form will have a massive 400 candy requirement.
Casual players will not need to worry, as these form differences are only cosmetic in the main series, and will likely remain as such in the transition to Pokemon GO. However, there has been no mention of when these creatures will start spawning. They will likely be incorporated into wild spawn tables for the first event of the season.

Shadow Raids
Shadow Raids are also set to make a comeback in the Dual Destiny season. Not only will the Shadow Regis make their return, but their shiny forms will debut as well, finally giving players a way to find these Legendary Pokemon as Shiny Shadows. However, this is not content that benefits the competitive community as the Shadow Regis are notoriously worse than their standard variants.
In other news, Shadow Raids will now always be available, with One and Three-Stars still being the most common, while Five-Star Raids will only be hosted on weekends. Of course, the Shadow Regis will be Five-Star Shadow Raid Bosses, but the potential of more Shadow Legendary Pokemon being available weekly will sound captivating for many competitive trainers.

Dynamax and Gigantamax
New Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokemon will be coming to the game soon, as well. So far, Niantic has confirmed that Dynamax Krabby and Machop are soon to arrive in Pokemon GO, along with Gigantamax Lapras. Water-type Dynamax Pokemon have been available for a while now, but Dynamax Machop should be a big development for the Max Battle community.
Interestingly, both Krabby and Machop's final evolutions have Gigantamax forms. While this could just be a coincidence or a way to give players access to these creatures before releasing their Gigantamax forms through harder raids, it may also hint at a potential way to convert Dynamax Pokemon into Gigantamaxes in the near future.
