Appearance
Bellossom stands 0.4 meters tall and looks like a small, humanoid hula dancer. It has green skin, short arms, and a large hula skirt made of overlapping green and yellow leaves. Its cheeks are typically blushing red with two red and yellow flowers sprouting from each side of its head.
Behavior
Bellossom spends its days soaking up the sunshine in lush forest clearings, fertile fields, and bright beaches. It loves to dance, chant, and laugh joyfully, especially after cloudy or rainy weather subsides. Bellossom is rarely found in the wild since it requires a Sun Stone to evolve but it can be found frequently in the tropics.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Bellossom’s Grass typing makes it resistant against Water, Electric, Grass, and Ground-type moves. However, it is weak to Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug-type moves, and thus takes double the normal damage.
Shiny Bellossom
Shiny Bellossom swaps its green skin, red and yellow flowers, and yellow skirt leaves for pinkish purple skin, pink and green flowers, and light green skirt leaves. This dramatic palette swap makes it easy to spot Shiny Bellossom in Pokémon collections and battles. Furthermore, like all shiny Pokemon, Shiny Bellossom gains a starry animation upon entering battle, so keep an eye out.
Best moveset (Bellossom)
Nature: Timid
Ability: Chlorophyll
Held Item: Leftovers
Strength Sap | Quiver Dance |
Giga Drain | Moonblast |
Bellossom is an extremely versatile Pokémon with strong sweeping, and recovery capabilities. Quiver Dance allows it to set up for powerful sweeping with STAB damage from Giga Drain or super-effective damage from Moonblast. Strength Sap helps and allows Bellossom to recover and build momentum if it gets stalled by a strong physical threat. Chlorophyll makes Bellossom a total powerhouse on Sunny Day teams, and Leftovers aids in its long-term staying power. A Timid nature aids Bellossom’s sweeping ability by boosting its Speed and hindering its Attack.

How to catch Bellossom in Pokemon Go?
Bellossom is not available in the wild, and it is no longer available through Special Research. Thus the easiest way to get Bellossom in Pokémon Go is to evolve it from Oddish. Oddish evolves into Gloom with 25 candies, and Gloom evolves into Bellossom with 100 candies and a Sun Stone. Although given that, Bellossom’s Buddy distance requirement is 3km, it makes things harder. Furthermore, Shiny Bellossom and Shadow Bellossom are both available in Pokémon Go as well.
