Best Color Cup teams in Pokemon GO Battle League Season 21

1) Gastrodon, Qwilfish, and Charjabug

CharjabugCloserVolt SwitchX-Scissor and Discharge

This is by far one of the strongest Color Cup teams for Pokemon GO Battle League's Season 21. There aren't any critters eligible in the format that can beat all three members of this lineup. This makes it a reliable and beginner-friendly team to try out.

2) Shadow Alolan Marowak, Shadow Jumpluff, and Stunfisk

StunfiskCloserThunder ShockDischarge and Mud Bomb

This is an A-B-C-style team with two Shadow Pokemon. This makes it a more tricky lineup to utilize since you might have to make up for the compromised defenses with strategic switches and careful energy management.

That said, all three of these critters have been buffed in recent patches and Alolan Marowak — when piloted right — can win you games on its own.

3) Emolga, Shadow Quagsire, and Abomasnow

AbomasnowCloserPowder SnowIcy Wind and Energy Ball

This is another A-B-C-style team with a higher skill ceiling. The team is very weak to Abomasnow leads, but with the right energy management and efficient baiting, you can flip even those matches around.

The lineup has extremely fast-charging moves and big nukes that can one-shot unaware enemies from near full health when used in the right moments.

4) Shadow Arcanine, Dewgong, and Gastrodon

Despite its apparent weaknesses on paper, what makes this A-B-B style team one of the best Color Cup teams in Pokemon GO is how flexible it is.

Arcanine dishes out incredible amounts of damage but is on the frail side. However, considering most of its damage output comes from Fire Fang, feel free to keep shielding it as the bulky back line — especially with Icy Wind debuffs — can handle Charged Move pressure well.

5) Toxapex, Cradily, and Abomasnow

This is another A-B-B style team. The lineup does extremely well against Water-types but struggles a bit when met with Steel-type creatures. While there aren't many of these in the format, you'd have to really play out those matches finely and depend on Toxapex's Water-type damage to see victory.
