5 best costumed Pokemon introduced in Pokemon GO in 2024

Trainers saw the introduction of several costumed Pokemon wearing unique formal and casual attires in Pokemon GO in 2024. Among them, the most stylish one would be none other than the Studded Jacket Snorlax, which debuted during Wild Area. Each month of this year brought something unexpected for collectors who like to keep adding new creatures rocking awesome clothing to their collections.

Fans have now officially entered December 2024. A few events await their participation this month so they can obtain old and new pocket monsters.

That said, here is the list of the five best costumed Pokemon that debuted in Pokemon GO in 2024.

Saree Pikachu, Studded Jacket Snorlax, and three other costumed monsters released in Pokemon GO in 2024

1) Pikachu wearing a saree

Saree Pikachu was released at the start of the Festival of Light on November 1, 2024. Its shiny variation was also presented on the same day to celebrate this festivity.

However, this event of Pokemon GO in 2024 was exclusively hosted for players living in India. Thus, Pikachu wearing a saree was only available for them, making it a regional variant that collectors outside of this country couldn’t obtain.

That said, players had to complete Field Research Tasks to get encounters with Pikachu wearing a saree during the Festival of Light. Another way to obtain this costumed Pokemon was to defeat it in Saree Raid Battles.

2) Flower Crown Whimsicott

During the run of Verdant Wonders in Pokemon GO in 2024, trainers were excited to catch unique costumed Pocket Monsters. Cottonee wearing a Flower Crown is one of them, and it was featured in the wild, Incense encounters, Field Research tasks, and Collection Challenges.

While Flower Crown Cottonee was made available in different event features, Flower Crown Whimsicott was only obtainable by triggering the evolution process. To initiate this, players had to give Cottonee rocking a Flower Crown 50 Cottonee Candies and a Sunstone to evolve it into Flower Crown Whimsicott.

For sure, the latter was challenging to obtain, but it was a star that captivated many hearts.

3) Day Scarf Espeon

The GO Fest Global event in Pokemon GO in 2024 marked the release of Day Scarf Espeon and Night Scarf Umbreon. Among these two costumed Pokemon, our personal favorite is the former thanks to the golden scarf wrapped around its neck.

Umbreon wearing a Night Scarf also has a decent look, but appearance-wise, it is not the best one in the game.

Espeon with a Day Scarf attire was available via various means, including catching in the wild, luring using Incense items, beating raids, and more. That said, we hope to see this costumed Pokemon again next year.

4) Party Hat Grimer

Fans are eager to see what awaits them at the 9th Anniversary Party in 2025. But, the 8th Anniversary Party event cannot be forgotten that easily. The event featured the release and arrival of numerous costumed Pokemon. Party Hat Grimer caught the attention, as it was included in an official poster of this anniversary celebration.

5) Studded Jacket Snorlax

First and foremost, Snorlax rocking a Studded leather jacket was one of the major attractions of Wild Area in Pokemon GO in 2024. The event went live in two classes on different dates and times — one occurred in Fukuoka, Japan, and the other took place globally. Studded Jacket Snorlax hit the mobile game for the first time in the local event before being presented globally.
