The second phase of Pokemon GO's Halloween festivities will take place from October 26, 2023, to October 31, 2023. The focus on the Pokemon and activities seen in the first part of the event will give way to a new slate of creatures, undertakings, and rewards. Since this is the case and the event is quickly approaching, trainers will want to be prepared.
Fortunately, Niantic has made it clear what Pokemon GO players will encounter during Halloween Part II. Trainers can keep a number of tips and recommendations in mind for when October 26 kicks off.
Although players are free to play Pokemon GO as they see fit, remembering a few things might help them maximize their participation in the Halloween celebrations.

Tips to make the most of Pokemon GO's Halloween Part II event
Practice your throwing skills
Much like the first leg of Pokemon GO's Halloween event, the second provides bonus candy and XL candy rewards to players who land accurate Poke Ball throws. The more difficult the throw, the higher the trainer's chances of successfully catching a Pokemon.
Fortunately, players will have plenty of time to practice before the event kicks off. Whether they choose to do so in-game or with third-party practice apps is entirely up to them.
Catch any and all Drifloon/Phantump
When Pokemon GO's Halloween Part II event begins, Pokestop Showcases will be updated to reflect the new requirements for this portion of the two-part event. Specifically, the new permitted entrants will be Drifloon and Phantump, so players will want to find the heaviest/tallest/highest-IV specimens they can to rank high consistently in showcases.
Fortunately, much like previous showcases, Drifloon and Phantump will often spawn in the wild during Halloween Part II. Since this is the case, trainers may want to keep their Lure Modules and Incense handy.
Beef up your Dark-, Bug-, Fairy-, and Fighting-type Pokemon
Pokemon GO players will want to burn some candies powering up Bug-, Dark-, Fairy-, and Fighting-type creatures to prepare for the new raid rotations, which are composed of essentially Dark- and Ghost-type Pocket Monsters.
Trainers can also power up their Ghost-type creatures, but since these picks are weak to Dark- and Ghost-type attacks themselves, their viability as counters is somewhat limited in raids. It won't be impossible to win Halloween Part II's raids with Ghost-type picks, but players will have to be prepared to do plenty of dodging when the raid bosses fire off their Charged Moves.
Catch costumed Pokemon as much as possible on October 31
Although Pokemon GO trainers can catch Gengar and Pikachu in the wild in their Trick or Treat outfits throughout Halloween Part II, playing on October 31 will be particularly useful. Throughout the event, players will get extra Gengar or Pikachu candy for catching these costumed creatures. However, on Halloween itself, they'll also be able to snag some Rare Candies.
Considering how incredibly helpful Rare Candies can be for powering up Pokemon (especially Legendary and Mythical species), it would be a shame to miss out on this opportunity. Sure, Halloween is a busy time, but trainers willing to go the distance and dive into the game on October 31 may be rewarded for their efforts.
