You can get Cosmog in Pokemon GO during the Necrozma Fusion Raid Day in the following ways:

• Complete Part 4 of "Starry Skies" Special Research
• Complete Part 2 of "GO Fest 2024: The Dawn of a New Discovery" Special Research
• Trade

A Cosmic Companion was the Special Research quest that was available to players during the Season of Light between September 1 and December 1, 2022. If you logged in to the game during that period, you will have it in your Research tab. Its first part has tasks involving catching Pokemon, making Curveball Throws, and catching Psychic-type Pokemon. Cosmog is one of this quest's set rewards.

Starry Skies was a Special Research story available to all players for free during the Solstice Skies event in 2023. Completing its fourth part — involving hatching Eggs, catching Psychic-type Pokemon, and earning Stardust — gives you one Cosmog as part of the set rewards. A copy of this quest could also be acquired for $5.00 (or equivalent pricing).

If you had logged in during Day 2 of Pokemon GO Fest 2024: Global, you would have received The Dawn of a New Discovery Special Research. Completing its second part — which involves catching Emolga/Crabrawler/Ducklett, powering up Pokemon, and evolving Pokemon — gives you a Cosmog as one of the set rewards.

If you don't have any of these Special Research stories available to you on Pokemon GO Necrozma Fusion Raid Day, you can ask a friend to trade you a Cosmog. Note that this will count as a Special Trade. Moreover, unless you have the Lucky Trade option active, the traded creature's IVs will be randomized.
