As such, the best way to shiny hunt in Pokemon GO is to flood the general spawn rate of an area. A great place to start when it comes to optimally increasing the general spawn rate of a certain type of creature is to analyze the weather. Thanks to the mobile game's weather boost feature, creatures of specific elements have much higher spawn rates in certain weather conditions.

Since Skorupi is a Bug and Poison-type Pokemon, it has the highest spawn rate in areas experiencing rainy and cloudy weather. Once you have an area with this type of weather to hunt in, you can begin to prepare the other components that go into making an effective shiny hunting patrol route.

The next thing you will need to consider is your items. Two, in particular, are key staples in effective shiny hunts. These items are the Incense and the Lure Module. The Lure Module functions very similarly to Incense. The main difference is that the Lure Module attaches itself to a Pokestop to increase the general spawn rate around the posted areas.
