Appearance
Carnvine is a Pokémon that resembles a venus flytrap. Its head is made of the trap part, with spiky teeth and green dots splattered across the top of its head. Carnivine has long leaves for arms and red and green free flowing vines that make up its body, sort of similar to tentacles.
Behavior
Carnivine hangs from tree branches using its vines to blend in with its forest or marsh surroundings. It leaves its mouth open to attract prey with its sweet-smelling saliva, and then chomps down once something crawls in. It often takes an entire day to finish its food, and then starts the process again as its diet is mostly made up of small bugs or other insects.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Carnivine is weak to Flying, Poison, Ground, Ice, Bug, and Fire-type Pokémon, taking twice as much damage as normal when fighting them. It is immune to Ground-type Pokémon and is resistant to Water, Grass, and Electric types, taking only half of the normal amount of damage.
Best Moveset
Carnivine has a lot of strong moves, including Solar Beam, which is a move that has 120 power and 100% accuracy. Here are Carnivine’s best moves; Solar Beam charges turn 1 and hits turn 2, but cannot charge without sunlight. Giga Impact has 150 power and 90% accuracy although the user cannot move on the next turn. Power Whip has 120 power and 85% accuracy, and finally Hyper Beam has 150% power and 90% accuracy, but the user cannot move on the next turn.

How to catch Carnivine in Pokemon Go?
The only way to catch Carnivine is to find it in the wild. Since it is a Grass-type Pokémon, you can find it in grassy areas like fields, farms, parks, golf courses, gardens, as well as residential areas and marshes. In addition, Carnivine is a regional Pokémon, which means it can only be found in one region of the world. That region is the southeast of the United States, so states like South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, among others. It doesn’t evolve, so the number of candies is only useful for powering up and it has been a one star raid boss in the past.
Trivia
- In Pokémon Battle Revolution, Toxic is shown as two purple orbs spinning around each other and moving towards the target. However, whenever Carnivine uses the same move, the orbs travel erratically.
- Carnivine is based on a Venus flytrap.
- Only Araquanid, Carnivine and Masquerain have the base stat total of 454.
