Appearance

Chandelure is essentially a sentient chandelier, hence the name. Its head is striped and round and has yellow eyes without any pupils. There is a ring of black spikes atop its head with a purple flame. Its head is completely purple, with a few black stripes going down. It has black arms, curled upward in chandelier-like fashion. It has several purple flames coming out of various points.

Behavior

Chandelure fires are more metaphorical than literal as they do not burn physically. Rather, they burn opponents' spirits in a more metaphorical sense of the word. After hypnotizing opponents, it will steal their souls. Chandelure resides typically in run-down dilapidated mansions. There was a rumor that any house that Chandelure resided in would host a lot of funerals. Chandelure has often been considered a bad omen for humans.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Chandelure is weak to Ground, Rock, Water, Ghost and Dark types. These will do twice as much damage when attacking Chandelure. It is immune Normal and Fighting types, these will do no damage to it. It is resistant to Bug, which will do a quarter the damage, as well as Poison, Steel, Fire, Grass, Ice and Fairy types, which do half the damage to Chandelure.

Best moveset (Chandelure)

Chandelure has a lot of strong moves, including one move that has 150 power and 90% accuracy. Here are Chandelure's best moves. Giga Impact leaves the opponent unable to move. Inferno has 50% accuracy but 100% chance to burn the opponent.

How to catch Chandelure in Pokemon Go?

Litwick can be found in abandoned areas and old houses. As of now, that is the only location that has a raised spawn rate for this Pokemon. They can also be found in other places where the same type spawns more regularly. Litwick can be evolved to Chandelure with 125 candies and a Unova stone, making it a fairly difficult evolution to achieve.

FAQs

Is Chandelure good?

Chandelure is really good. Its Special Attack is really high and the other stats don’t necessarily suffer for it. It has a really good move pool and a lot of resistances. It has a lot of weaknesses, but is resistant to so many that it’s worth it.

Which is better: Volcarona or Chandelure?

Volcarona is probably better. It has slightly better stats and less weaknesses (3 to 5). Chandelure does have some immunities that Volcarona doesn’t have, but it’s not enough to overcome the gap.

Can Chandelure breed?

In Pokemon: Sword and Shield, a Chandelure with the egg move can breed with Ditto, but otherwise it cannot.

Is Chandelure better as Fire or Ghost type?

Fire type attacks generally have more uses. While they obviously don’t work as well on some and are pointless against Water types, Fire overall is more useful than Ghost and can often burn an opponent.

Is Chandelure one of the best Ghost type Pokemon?

Yes. While it’s probably not the best, Aegislash probably has that title, it is still very good and one of the better ones. Finding a Chandelure can be a really good thing for a trainer.

Conclusion

Chandelure is one of the most popular of all Pokemon. Many consider it their favorite. It is strong and has a really good type combo of Fire and Ghost. Fire type moves have a lot of value, and Ghost is strong as well. Chandelure are dangerous, as in the anime they were able to steal opponents souls after hypnotizing them. They are fairly difficult to get as Litwick has to evolve to Lampert at level 41 and then trainers will need a Dusk Stone, but it is absolutely worth getting.
