Appearance

Like its pre-evolutions, Clefable is a pale pink vaguely star-shaped Pokemon although it is taller than its pre-evolutions. It has pointed ears with brown tips, a curled lock of fur that hangs over its forehead, and black, oval eyes with wrinkles on either side. Not only that, Clefable has a pair of pink wings on its back with three points each as well as a long, tightly curled tail that resembles the curls on its forehead. On its hands, Clefable has fingers on each hand with two clawed toes and dark pink soldes on its feet.

Behavior

Clefable is known to flee when it senses people approaching, which causes it to be considered as one of the world's rarest Pokemon. Clefable’s ears are so sensitive that they can distinctly hear a pin drop from half a mile away and thus prefers to live in quiet, mountainous areas due to its sensitive hearing. It is protective of its home because of its timid nature and is considered to be a type of fairy, though the anime states that it is actually an extraterrestrial Pokemon. Clefable capable of walking on water using a bouncy gait and it sometimes appears to be flying using its small wings.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Clefable has a high HP stat, as well as higher than average special attack and special defense stats, with its special attack stat raised after Generation VI. Clefable has decent bulk, a reliable means of recovery, and fantastic defensive typing which allow it to act as an effective wall in a battle. Before the introduction of fairy-type Pokemon, Clefable was a normal-type Pokemon, which made it weak to fighting-type Pokemon and immune to ghost-type Pokemon. However, after the introduction of fairy-type Pokemon, in Generation VI, Clefable becomes a fairy-type Pokemon. That makes it resistant against fighting, bug and dark type moves, immune to dragon-types, and weak to poison and steel-type Pokemon.

Shiny Clefable

Shiny Clefable is a version of Clefable which has green accents instead of brown accents. The main way to get a Shiny Clefable is to continuously breed either Clefables or its pre-evolutions until you get a Shiny Cleffa which can be evolved into Clefable.. Like all shiny Pokemon, Shiny Clefable gains a starry animation upon entering battle.

Calm Mind increases Clefable’s higher than average special attack and special defense stats giving it an easier time taking special attack damage. Soft-Boiled heals 50% of Clefable’s HP, allowing it to switch into battle against special attackers with little to no fear of being knocked out. Moonblast serves as an effective STAB (same-type attack bonus) move and finally, Thunder Wave can cripple opponents by paralyzing them, serving as speed control.

How to catch Clefable in Pokemon Go?

As a fairy-type Pokemon, Clefable and its pre-evolution can be best found at local landmarks, hospitals, shopping malls, churches or the cemetery.
