Cosmog Pokémon

Last Modified Aug 5, 2021 05:12 GMT

Making its debut in generation seven, Cosmog is a Pokemon that can be instantly recognizable to many Pokemon fans. It’s unique appearance belittles the fact that Cosmog is next to useless in battle. However with the proper care and attention, Cosmog can evolve into something truly wonderful, even legendary. You just have to be patient...and perhaps bring plenty of revives.

Appearance

Cosmog Appearance

Looking like nothing from this world, it’s easy to see why many believe that this Pokemon came from another universe. In terms of body, Cosmog has a small appearance, it’s body consisting of a small purple center with two antenne sprouting out. Cosmog’s body color is a gradient of blue to purple, with a black face and yellow eyes. With a gold ring holding it together. Looking truly cosmic, it’s easy to believe that this Pokemon doesn't come from this world.

Behavior

Cosmogs collect dust from the atmosphere to form their body. Because they are so lightweight they are easily able to fly away with the slightest wind. Cosmog is a kind soul, showing trust and affection to whoever shows it kindness. This can be taken advantage of however, as Cosmog is notably naive, unable to tell when it's being taken advantage of by malevolent forces. As it is young, Cosmog can easily strain itself when using too much power, but can teleport itself as well as those close to it.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Just to be clear, Cosmog isn’t the best for battles, that’s done by design. With Low HP and Low overall stats, Cosmog won’t last long in battle. Being a Psychic type, Bug, Dark, and Ghost moves will essentially be a one hit knockout for Cosmog. The play here is to just simply let Cosmog evolve into a much stronger form.

Best moveset for Cosmog

At this point in Cosmog’s evolution, it can learn two moves in total and both aren’t great offensive moves. Splash amounts to pretty much Cosmog doing nothing while Teleport allows you to back out of wild encounters. While this does seem lackluster and makes Cosmog not useful at all while battling, the whole point is to be able to evolve it into a more powerful Pokemon.

How to catch Cosmog in Pokemon Go?

At the moment, Cosmog is not available to catch in Pokemon Go.

Trivia

  1. Cosmog has the lowest stats of any legendary Pokemon
  2. Cosmog can only learn two moves
  3. Cosmog is the only Legendary Pokémon line that evolves through leveling up.
