Ribombee is a dual type Bug Fairy Pokemon that was introduced in Generation VII. It evolves from Cutiefly at level 25 and is known as the Bee Fly Pokemon (the same as Cutiefly). It can spawn as a male or female, with a 50% chance of being either. Both Cutiefly and Ribombee are among the smallest Pokemon in existence.

Appearance
Ribombee looks very similar to Cutiefly as it has a very tiny body, with a slightly larger head. It has large eyes with a white and a brown speck in the center of each. It has two black antennae and Ribombee also has a brown scarf around its neck that has needle-like projections on the front. Its four thin limbs have bulbous hands and feet.
Behavior
Ribombee will use its fluffy hair to hold onto pollen it collects. Rain will turn its hair dirty and will make the pollen damp, so it prefers clear weather. When storms are on the horizon, it will hide in trees and other natural places to wait it out. The pollen and nectar it collects is made into “Pollen Puffs”, which are sold in Alola. They are valuable nutritious supplements.
Strengths and Weaknesses
As a Bug and Fairy type Pokémon, Ribombee is weak against Flying, Poison, Rock, Steel and Fire type moves and will take twice the normal damage from them. It is immune to Dragon type Pokemon and is resistant to Ground, Bug, Grass and Dark types, which will do half the damage. It is also resistant against Fighting type moves and will take a quarter of the normal damage. There is no advantage or disadvantage with Normal, Fairy, Ghost, Water, Electric, Ice and Psychic types.
Best Moveset
Ribombee has a lot of strong moves including Last Resort, which is a move that has 140 power and 100% accuracy. Here are Ribombee’s best moves; Last Resort fails unless all other known moves have been used while Leech Life has 80 power and will restore half of the HP taken to the user. Moonblast has a 30% chance to lower the target’s Special Attack by 1 and finally, Pollen Puff can be used on enemies and allies. If it’s used on an ally, the ally will be healed of 50% of their max HP.

How to catch Ribombee in Pokemon Go?
Ribombee is currently not in Pokemon Go as curiously, Niantic has (at least temporarily) skipped over Generation VII. All Generations up through VI have been added and more recently, Generation VIII and the Galarian forms have been added as well. Alolan forms of some Pokemon have made it but no Pokemon that first appeared in Alola. They will likely eventually make it, but haven’t yet.

FAQs
How big is Ribombee?
Cutiefly is one of the smallest Pokemon in existence. It stands just four inches tall and weighs 0.4 pounds and even Ribombee stands just eight inches tall and weighs just over one pound. Neither form has many Pokemon that are smaller than it.
Is Ribombee in Pokemon Sword and Shield?
Yes, both forms are in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Cutiefly can be found in Bridge Field with a 30% chance of spawning in Normal Weather. It will then evolve into Ribombee at level 25. Ribombee can also be found in Sword and Shield, and can be found in the Stony Wilderness with a 30% chance of spawning in Normal Weather.
Is there a shiny Ribombee?
Yes, but not in Pokemon Go. Many Pokemon get a shiny version from Pokemon Go, but since Cutiefly isn’t in that game, it can’t. It does, however, have a shiny version that gives it a pinkish shade rather than the typical yellow.
Conclusion
Ribombee is incredibly fast, so it is a very valuable Pokemon to have. Having high speed means that it will move first most of the time. Additionally, it has access to some really good moves like Pollen Puff and Leech Life. Ribombee is fairly easy to evolve to as it only needs Cutiefly to reach level 25, so it’s worth going for.
