Datamine reports find Black and White Kyurem's signature moves and Adventure Effects in Pokemon GO

Datamine reports from The Pokemod Group on Discord and X suggest that Black and White Kyurem's signature moves are coming to Pokemon GO. These attacks will reportedly also have Adventure Effects that can be used outside of battle, much like the signature moves of the Origin Forme Sinnoh legendaries and the Necrozma Fusions.

This article covers everything currently known about Black and White Kyurem's signature moves (and their corresponding Adventure Effects) in Pokemon GO.

Although information discovered by The Pokemod Group is seldom wrong, take the news of these potential moves and Adventure Effects with a pinch of salt, as none of it — even the arrival of Black and White Kyurem — has been announced by Niantic.

Expected Black and White Kyurem signature moves and Adventure Effects in Pokemon GO

According to the datamine reports, Black Kyurem is expected to get its signature move Freeze Shock, while White Kyurem will get the Ice Burn attack. These are extremely powerful attacks in the main series games, with a base power of 140. They also have additional effects of paralyzing and burning the target, respectively.

Both Freeze Shock and Ice Burn have been added to the game's code. However, the official announcement of their arrival is still awaited by the community.

As for the corresponding Adventure Effects, the following details have been added:

• FreezeBonus
• SlowBonus

These are allegedly part of a new setting called "SlowFreezePlayerBonusSettingsProto", which has three values:

• (float) catchCircleTimeScaleOverride_
• (float) catchRateIncreaseMultiplier_
• (float) catchCircleSpeedChangeThreshold_

These suggest that the Black and White Kyurem's expected Adventure Effects in Pokemon GO will have something to do with slowing down the speed of the catch circle while encountering Pocket Monsters. This would make capturing and landing Excellent Throws on them easier.

When can you expect Black and White Kyurem to make their Pokemon GO debut?

Although nothing to this tune has been hinted at by Niantic yet, it is safe to assume that both Black Kyurem and White Kyurem will make their Pokemon GO debuts during the Unova Tour, scheduled for February and March 2025.

Black and White Kyurem could be available as directly capturable Pocket Monsters, just like Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia, or the developer might introduce some sort of Fusion mechanic, as in the case of Necrozma's Dawn Wings and Dusk Mane forms.
