Strengths and Weaknesses
When it comes to battles, Deerling isn’t the best when it comes to stats. It’s highest stat being in speed, Deerling are great at getting the first hit, however it won’t be the strongest.Still, against Ground, Rock, and Water types, Deerling can put up a fair fight. The same goes for Defense, Deerlings stats aren't the best, so be sure to pack plenty potions. However, should your opponent have Fighting, Bug, Fire, Flying, Ice, or Poison moves, your Deerling will pretty much be instantly knocked out.
Best moveset for Deerling
Return | Seed Bomb |
Jump Kick | Substitute |
This moveset, while powerful, comes at the cost of Deerling’s HP so it’s best to use caution when doing so. However to get the maximum amount of damage from this Pokemon, this is the best gamble to take. Return is a great damage dealing move, even more so if Deerling’s happiness is at maximum. Seed Bomb is a great all around Grass move while Jump Kick has a 50/50 chance of backfiring and will reduce your Pokemon’s health in half if it does miss. Finally, should Deerling’s HP be low, use Substitute to replace them with another Pokemon for a quarter of Deerling’s health.
