Pokemon from the stars are rare and mysterious and one of the first is the strange, multi-formed, psychic type Deoxys. This alien Pokemon is not well understood and rarely seen outside its debut game.

Appearance of Deoxys
Though it’s supposedly organic, Deoxys looks like it's made of metal. Its body is a sleek red and blue colored humanoid shape though it has no feet or hands. Its arms are closer to tentacles which change depending on its form, though in its normal form they are shaped in a double helix, similar to DNA.
Behavior of Deoxys
Deoxys is a Pokemon that is incredibly difficult to understand. It began as a virus from space that mutated and developed a brain. Though it is considered intelligent it doesn’t communicate often nor are its motives well known.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Deoxys is a pure psychic type and thusly has all of the type’s base resistances and weaknesses. It's strong against fighting and psychic-type moves and they do half damage. It's weak to a bug, ghost, and dark type moves and takes double damage from them.
Shiny Deoxys
Shiny Deoxys is the rare recolored form of Deoxys. Shiny Deoxys changes its colors quite a bit, changing almost every color from the original form. Shiny Deoxys is a yellowish-gold color with its old blue parts now being blue-green. Shiny Deoxys’ only unchanged color is in the core in its chest which stays purple.
Mega Deoxys
Mega Deoxys is not a canon Pokemon in the games though many fans have made their own renditions of Mega Deoxys. Unfortunately, Mega Deoxys will probably never exist in the mainline games as not only have Mega Evolutions been all but abandoned in modern games but Mega Deoxys would be a Mega Evolution of a mythical/legendary Pokemon. These Pokemon types have never received Mega Evolutions aside from one example: Mewtwo, and it can be assumed that Mega Mewtwo was a one-time deal due to Mewtwo’s popularity.
Pokemon Destiny Deoxys
Pokemon Destiny Deoxys is the seventh Pokemon movie made and centers around the first appearance of the titular Pokemon Deoxys. Pokemon Destiny Deoxys begins with Ash heading to a city called Larousse City before Deoxys appears and takes over the city. The rest of Pokemon Destiny Deoxys is focused on the fact that Deoxys is actually protecting the city from Rayquaza and ends in a climactic battle between the two Pokemon.
Deoxys EX
Deoxys EX is a special card for the Pokemon Trading Card Game. EX cards are special and Deoxys EX is no different, having a powerful and unique ability as well as abiding by the EX rule. Deoxys EX is also very highly valued with holographic Deoxys EX cards being valued at $150.
Best Moveset for Deoxys
Support Hazards: Deoxys has decent stats but its speed and bulk allow it to stay on the field and set up against opponents. This makes it ideal for hazards like Spikes, especially as it can learn to taunt to force its opponent to be unable to set up against it.

How to Catch Deoxys in Pokemon Go
Deoxys can only be found as a Raid Boss in a Raid Battle in Pokemon Go. Each of its four formes can appear but they all must be defeated in a Raid before the chance to capture them appears. This Raid exclusivity is similar to other legendary/mythical Pokemon in Pokemon Go.

Most of its forms have their respective high stats being the highest among all psychic type Pokemon.
Deoxys’ status as a legendary Pokemon is not actually clear as it is referred to as a mythical Pokemon in games but other media calls it legendary.
Conclusion
Deoxys may seem powerful at first but in reality, it is quite a niche. Back when it first appeared it was far out of the way and not often obtained and nowadays it's a bit more accessible but still not widely used. Despite being a mythical/legendary Pokemon, Deoxys is incredibly situational and it takes some thought before you can decide it's good to have on your team.
