Appearance of Dragonair
Dragonair is a long, serpentine Pokemon. It has light blue scales and a white underbelly. It has a round snout and oval-shaped, purple eyes. There is a singular white horn on its forehead. It has a white, swirly wing coming out of both sides of its head. It has three crystal-like blue orbs on its body- one on the neck and the other two on its tail.
Behavior of Dragonair
Dragonair emits what is referred to as a gentle aura, making it seem mystical or magical. It can make its wings larger, as it did in the anime, but doesn’t need to do so other than to start flying. Dragonair has quite a bit of energy coursing through it, and it can emit that energy at any point through the blue, crystal-like orbs. When this happens, that mystical aura changes so drastically that the surrounding weather changes with it. Dragonair lives in pristine bodies of water that usually get a lot of gifts from people attempting to honor this Pokemon. Dragonair sightings at the beginning of a year are said to bring health through the entire year.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Dragonair is strong against Fire, Water, Electric and Grass types. All four of these types do a quarter the damage they normally do when attacking Dragonair. Dragonair is weak against Ice, Dragon and Fairy types. These types will do twice as much damage as normal when battling Dragonair.
Best moveset for Dragonair
Dragonair has a lot of strong moves, including one move that has 130 power and 100% accuracy. Here are Dragonair’s best moves. Hyper Beam, with 90% accuracy, results in the opponent's inability to move the next turn.

How to catch Dragonair in Pokemon Go?
Dragonair is a rare Pokemon to encounter in the wild. That said, they can be found in landmark areas such as national parks or others. It can’t be hatched by any eggs as it is an evolved Pokemon. Dratini, while it is the unevolved version, isn’t any easier to find. It can be found in places of interest and can be hatched from 10k eggs. The eggs represent the best chance of finding either Pokemon. It can be evolved to Dragonair at 25 candies and to Dragonite at 100 candies.

Trivia
- In the Pokemon Red and Blue beta, Dragonair was simply named Dragyn.
- In Blackthorn City, trade is available for only a female Dragonair. This makes Dragonair the only Pokemon that can be male or female that has a gender-specific trade in a game.
- In Pokemon Yellow, the Dragonair catch rate was dropped from 45 to 27, making it the most difficult Pokemon to catch. It has since been returned to 45.
- Dragonair is the name of an actual airline in Hong Kong.
- Dragonair is an evolutionary relative with Horsea and its evolutionary family, Salamence and Goodra. These are all known as the Dragon Pokemon.
FAQs
Q. Is Dragonair better than Dragonite?
No, Dragonite blows Dragonair out of the water. His base stat totals are far superior to Dragonair, too. There is no reason to keep a Dragonair when it can evolve to Dragonite.
Q. Is Dragonite a pseudo-Legendary?
Yes. While it was discovered there was a family of them living underwater, Dragonites were previously considered Legendary, making them a sort of unofficial pseudo-Legendary Pokemon.
Q. Is Dragonite one of the strongest Pokemon?
Yes, Dragonite is on the short list of the strongest Pokemon. It is considered to be one of the 15 strongest Pokemon, so evolving a Dratini to a Dragonair and then to Dragonite should be a top priority.
Q. Is Dratini Legendary?
No. Recently a small colony was found living underwater, confirming that none of its forms, Dratini, Dragonair, and Dragonite, are Legendary Pokemon.
Q. Is there a Mega Dragonite?
No, Dragonite and its evolutionary family do not have any Mega forms and cannot Mega Evolve.
Conclusion
Dragonair is a mystical, magical Pokemon. While it probably doesn’t have any mystical powers, this Pokemon is revered in such a way that it seems like it might. A sighting can have a great effect on people, and it is one of the stronger Pokemon. Getting one and fully evolving it can be a really great addition to your Pokedex.
