Generation 1 of the Pokemon games had a lot of simple yet stand-out Pokemon in its roster. One of these is the normal/flying type Farfetch’d, which is a simple bird design however its unique position of having no evolutionary family and a unique item devoted to it is strange, being that it was so simple.

Appearance of Farfetch'd
Farfetch’d is simply a duck, its design doesn’t deviate at all when it comes to that fact. The one interesting part of its design is the green onions it holds in its mouth. This is in reference to the Japanese phrase which translates to ‘a duck comes bearing bunching onions’ which is a saying which refers to something happening which is surprising but convenient.
Behavior of Farfetch'd
Farfetch’d is very attached to the onion stick it holds, as it comes from where they live. Farfetch’d live amongst stalks of these green onions and hide in them from predators, and when they are found, they use the stick to attack the aggressor. Farfetch’d will also use the stick as emergency rations however at the first chance it gets it will go find another one to replace it.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Farfetch'd has very standard typing, with lots of Pokemon, including itself, being the dual normal/flying type. It is strong against bug and grass type moves, taking half damage from them, and immune to ground and ghost type moves. Though it is weak to rock, electric, and ice type moves and will take double damage from them.
Galarian Farfetch'd
Galarian Farfetchd is the alternate Galar region form of Farfetch’d. Galarian Farfetchd is a fighting type as opposed to normal/flying and notably is black instead of brown, though it keeps almost the same shape as a normal Farfetch’d. The onion stalks in the Galar region also grow larger than in other regions so Galarian Farfetchd has adapted to suit them, becoming more confident and aggressive with their larger weapons. Unlike normal Farfetch’d, Galarian Farfetchd has an evolution, evolving into Sirfetch’d after landing three critical hits in one battle.
Best Moveset for Farfetch'd
All Out Attacker: While Farfetch’d isn’t the strongest Pokemon, when it is used in battle it can serve well as an attacking Pokemon. Its physical attack is its highest stat and with a few powerful moves like Brave Bird and Leaf Blade, Farfetch’d can deal quite a bit of damage.

How to Catch Farfetch'd in Pokemon Go
Farfetch’d can be found in the wild in Pokemon Go. While it may seem like it will appear anywhere due to its normal typing, and that would be right, it has a higher chance to appear where flying types do, due to its dual typing. Search around farms, open fields, and parks for the highest chance to stumble upon this onion-bearing duck.

Conclusion
Farfetch’d may not be the best Pokemon but it is an interesting one and one that the games seem to want you to use. Even from its first appearance it is given through a trade, and now in its Galarian form, it has a fantastical and comical evolution which makes it even better on the battlefield.
