Fletchling Pokémon

Fletchling is the Tiny Robin Pokémon that was introduced in Generation VI whose National Pokédex number is 661. It’s a Normal and Flying-type bird Pokémon known for its cute appearance and territorial nature with it one of the only Pokémon to change its dual typing on evolution. Fletchling evolves into Fletchinder at level 17 and further evolves into Talonflame at level 34.

Fletchling Appearance

Fletchling stands 0.3 meters tall and looks like a large robin with a gray lower body with white wingtips. It has a red coloured head with triangular yellow mark on the back of each eye while both its talons and beak are black. Fletchling’s tail feathers are black with white a V-shaped markings and the tail ends in two points.

Behavior

Fletchling is a generally friendly Pokémon, but it is fiercely territorial and will attack invaders without hesitation. Many trainers love the sounds of Fletchling’s songs. Fletchling’s body is naturally very warm and it heats up to very high temperatures when it gets excited, often startling trainers.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Fletchling’s Normal and Flying typing gives it a good defense against Grass and Bug-type moves and immunity to Ghost and Ground-type moves. However, Fletchling is weak against Electric, Ice, and Rock-type moves.

Shiny Fletchling

Shiny Fletchling trades its grey body and black accents for a brown body and brown accents. This palette swap makes it easy to spot Shiny Fletchling in the wild as well as in Pokémon collections and battles. Not only that, to make things easier, like all shiny Pokemon, Shiny Fletchling gains a starry animation upon entering battle.

Fletchling can be a decent sweeper in low tiers although it’s often outclassed by more durable Pokémon. Substitute and Berry Juice allow for some extra durability while Fletchling sets up with Swords Dance. Flame Charge serves to boost Fletchling’s speed and deal decent STAB damage, and Acrobatics deals STAB damage that gets stronger once it consumes its Berry Juice. Gale Wings gives Acrobatics priority before Fletchling starts taking damage and again after it consumes its Berry Juice. A Jolly nature ensures that Fletchling goes first by increasing its Speed and decreasing its Special Attack.

How to catch Fletchling in Pokemon Go?

Fletchling is available in 2km eggs and wild encounters, and it was formerly a Field Research reward and Raid Boss. Shiny Fletchling is rare but available. Fletchling evolves into Fletchinder with 25 candies and into Talonflame with 100 candies which is made easier to collect since it has a short buddy distance of 1km.
