It has a green cowl that covers its head, neck and back. Its arms have three red fingers and its legs have three red toes. It also has a red-tipped tail.
Behavior
Fraxure is a violent Pokemon. It is also a very territorial Pokemon as it will even fight over turf with other Fraxure, which can be a very destructive bout. It also engages in fights with Bisharp over the sharpening stones it uses for its tusks. It lives alongside rivers, which is also where the sharpening stones are.
Strengths and Weaknesses
As a Dragon type Pokémon, Fraxure is weak against Ice, Dragon and Fairy type moves, and takes twice the normal damage from them. It has no immunities but is resistant to Fire, Water, Grass and Electric types, which will do half the damage. There is no advantage or disadvantage with Normal, Fighting, Psychic, Bug, Ghost, Steel, Flying, Poison, Dark, Ground and Rock types.
Best Moveset
Fraxure has a lot of strong moves including Draco Meteor, which is a move that has 130 power and 90% accuracy. Here are Fraxure’s best moves; Draco Meteor will lower the user’s Special Attack by 2, Giga Impact leaves the user unable to move next turn while Outrage lasts 2-3 turns and leaves the user confused afterward. Finally, Dragon Rage has 100% accuracy and deals 40 HP of damage.

How to catch Fraxure in Pokemon Go?
Axew, Fraxure and Haxorus are only available in Pokemon Go through one method: eggs. Axew is available if players hatch a 10km egg, which is very rare. Axew is the rarest Pokemon to get from those eggs, which makes it one of the rarest Pokemon in the entire game. It will evolve into Fraxure at 25 candies and then into Haxorus at 100 candies.
Trivia
- Fraxure represents December in the Unova horoscope.
- Fraxure’s tusks draw inspiration from Dicynodonts, an extinct mammal that prominently featured tusks.
FAQs
How big is Fraxure?
Fraxure is sized moderately at three feet three inches and it weighs just 79.4 pounds, so it’s not a hulking massive Pokemon. For comparison, Axew stands just two feet tall and weighs 39.7 pounds. Haxorus, comparatively, is huge. It stands 5’11 and weighs a whopping 232.6 pounds. It’s not huge compared to other Pokemon, but within its family it is.
Is Fraxure in Pokemon Sword and Shield?
Yes. You can find and catch Fraxure in Route 6 with a 5% chance to appear during All Weather weather. You can also catch Haxorus, the evolved version, at Lake Outrage.
Is there a shiny Fraxure?
Yes. Shiny Fraxure trades out the red on its body for blue and maintains the rest of its coloring.
Conclusion
Fraxure is a wonderful Pokemon to have. It can reasonably be considered one of (if not the) the rarest Pokemon in Pokemon Go, since it only comes from the rarest egg as the rarest Pokemon from it. In other games, it’s a Dragon type, which is always good to have. It has good base stats, as well, making it a great addition to a team.
