Appearance
Frogadier is a frog-like Pokemon with its resting stance that of a frog. It has a dark blue color that covers its head and that forms a three-point mark going down its back. Its eyes are yellow with black irises and protrude slightly from the top of its head. It has a white bubble scarf and round fingers and toes with long dark legs.
Behavior
Frogadier is incredibly nimble and quick, with it said to be able to scale a 2,000 foot tall building in just one minute. It also throws bubble coated pebbles at enemies that are up to 100 feet away and confuses opponents by leaping into trees.
Strengths and Weaknesses
As a monotype Water Pokémon, Frogadier is weak against Grass and Electric type moves and will take twice the normal damage from them. It is not immune to any type of Pokemon but is resistant to Steel, Fire, Water and Ice type moves, which will do half the damage.
Best moveset (Frogadier)
Frogadier has a lot of strong moves including Gunk Shot, which is a move that has 120 power and 80% accuracy. Here are Frogadier’s best moves: Gunk Shot has 80% accuracy but 30% chance to poison the target, Hydro Pump has no additional effects while Ice Beam has a 10% chance to freeze the target. Finally, Surf does double damage on Dive.

How to catch Frogadier in Pokemon Go?
As a standard Water type Pokemon, Frogadier can be found in aquatic locations like canals, docks, harbors, lakes, oceans, beaches, rivers and riverbanks. Froakie, Frogadier’s pre-evolution, can be found more commonly at these locations as well and tends to spawn more than it’s evolved form. Rainy and stormy weather boosts the chances of Froakie and Frogadier spawning. Frogadier evolves from Froakie at 25 candies and then into Greninja at 100 candies.

FAQs
- How much does Frogadier change?
- Froakie stands just a foot tall and weighs a measly 15.4 pounds which makes it one of the smallest Pokemon in existence. Frogadier doubles in height to two feet exactly and gains less than nine pounds, so it is still a rather small Pokemon. Frogadier evolves into Greninja and that sees the biggest change as it becomes twice as tall and more than triples in weight to 88.2 pounds.
- Is Frogadier in Pokemon Sword and Shield?
- No. Froakie, Frogadier and Greninja did not make the cut for Pokemon Sword and Shield despite being extremely new entries to the franchise. They made their debut two generations prior.
- Is there a shiny Frogadier?
- Yes, in Pokemon Go. The shiny Froakie, Frogadier and Greninja all receive a much darker tone of blue. The blue is almost black instead of the typical lighter blue they normally sport.
Conclusion
Frogadier is a great Pokemon to add to a team. Water types have very few type disadvantages and Frogadier is one of the fastest Water types. Plus, Froakie is an easy Pokemon to find and catch, especially in Pokemon Go. It also is an easy evolution for both Pokemon Go and in the regular games which makes Greninja easily obtainable with little bit of effort.
