This bulldog means business! Granbull is known as the Fairy Pokemon, which may prompt some confusion with its fearsome appearance. Despite its intimidating appearance, it actually tends to be female much more often than male, and has a generally timid nature. It is the final evolution of Snubbull when it reaches level 23. Granbull was introduced in Generation II Pokemon games in Pokemon Gold/Silver.
It would make multiple appearances in the Pokemon anime, with the first being “The Trouble with Snubbull” where it would evolve from a Snubbull after an episode’s worth of adventure.

Appearance
Granbull is defined by its big floppy ears and monstrously sized lower jaw and fangs. Its skin has a gray coloration with black rings along its neck and hands. It is frequently found with its mouth hanging open because its head can barely support the weight of its jaw. While it’s tail is relatively small and its feet have little orange paw prints in the center of them. At 4 feet 7 inches and 107 pounds on average, Granbull are on the larger side for land based Pokemon.
Behavior
Granbull is a peak example of why not to judge a Pokemon based on appearance. Despite its fearsome appearance, it is actually generally timid in nature. It is statistically more likely to be female than male, and it will only bite if provoked or in a state of fear. It tends to wander around in populated urban areas, being fond of humans.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Granbull has the highest attack stat for non-legendary Fairy type Pokemon, which means that it is a considerable physical threat whenever it is on the field. This is further reinforced by its moveset, able to learn powerful moves like Crunch and Play Rough. It also brings solid defenses to the table with its single Fairy typing and well rounded defensive stats. It is not without its drawbacks however as it’s very slow and can be outmaneuvered by faster Pokemon. With its singular Fairy typing, Granbull is immune to Dragon type moves, as well as resisting Fighting, Bug and Dark type moves. It is vulnerable to Fire, Poison, and Steel types
Best Moveset
Surprisingly, one of Granbull’s better movesets is tilted towards a supportive role in a team. While it is still a major damage threat considering its huge attack stat and solid attack options in Play Rough and Earthquake, it can also be played as a disruptor, debilitating your opponent’s Pokemon while being able to clear up your own team’s statuses
