Appearance
Gurdurr is a gray bipedal Pokémon that resembles a construction worker. Most of its body is gray with pink accents and it has strange hair-like, bulbous features on its head. Muscular swelling veins are all around its large arms, thighs, and chest, and a similarly thick violet band adorns its shoulders. It is known to usually carry an I-beam girder in its arms and Gurdurr is an average sized Pokemon at 3 feet and 11 inches, or 1.2 meters, tall.
Behavior
The steel frame Gurdurr carries is used to train its muscles. Gurdurr enjoys showing off its muscles with Machoke and other members of its kind. However, if the individual fails to measure up to the others, it will not draw attention to itself. The Pokedex states that Gurdurr is so strong that it won't even be moved if it is attacked by a group of professional wrestlers. It is usually found near construction sites and unlike Timburr, Gurdurr is not good at helping with construction; rather, it does its best removing construction.
Strengths and Weaknesses
As the second stage evolution in its line, Gurdurr is not particularly powerful. It does have a strong physical attack stat along with a good physical defense and health pool. However, Gurdurr suffers from a slow speed stat and special stats and thus you can easily defeat a Gurdurr if you have a powerful special attack Pokemon. As a monotype fighting type Pokemon, Gurdurr takes 2x damage from flying, psychic, and fairy type moves. It is immune to no types but is resistant to rock, bug, and dark type moves.
Best Moveset
For a second stage evolution Pokemon, Gurdurr manages to hold its own in competitive play. It has been closer to the bottom of tier lists but can deal significant damage on almost any team. Gurdurr’s ability Guts makes it difficult to slow it down as a status effect will just make it deal more damage. Consider running Drain Punch, Mach Punch, Knock Off, and Bulk Up/Stone Edge. Drain Punch and Mach Punch both benefit from STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus). Knock Off can deal with problematic held items, and Bulk Up/Stone Edge are interchangeable as set up options or type coverage respectively.

How to Catch Gurdurr in Pokemon Go?
If you would like to obtain a Gurdurr in Pokemon Go, the easiest way to do so would be to first obtain a Timburr and eventually evolve it into Gurdurr. Like most evolved Pokemon, its base evolution is a more common spawn to encounter in the wild as compared to its evolved forms. You can find Timburr spawning in the wild at a boosted rate near gyms, sports centers, stadiums, and other recreational areas. You can also hatch a Timburr from 10 km eggs but while Gurdurr and Conkeldurr have not been available as raid bosses in the past, you can find Timburr as a tier one raid boss at Pokemon Gyms. You will need 50 candies to evolve Timburr into Gurdurr, and trade Gurdurr or 200 candies to evolve it into Conkeldurr. There are many different ways to obtain a Gurdurr in Pokemon Go, you will just need to take the first opportunity that comes your way.
