Players have been able to connect Pokemon HOME with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet since May 24, 2023. Here is how you can do it:

  • Step 1: Install the Pokemon HOME app on the Nintendo Switch you play Scarlet or Violet on.
  • Step 2: Enter Pokemon HOME and select the Pocket Monster you wish to transfer. You will see all the eligible Pokemon games saved on this Switch.
  • Step 3: Select Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, and you can immediately start transferring Pocket Monsters.

Upon successful completion, you will be rewarded with your choice of Gen IX starter with its Hidden Ability.

You can also use the same tactic to transfer critters to and from Sword and Shield, Let's Go Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Legends: Arceus, and Pokemon Bank.

While you can connect Pokemon HOME with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet easily, the transfers are governed by certain rules. The most important ones are as follows:

  • You can only transfer critters that are present in the game.
  • Tera Type of Pocket Monsters moved to Gen IX games will be "determined by their original type or types."
  • Pokemon HOME points can be converted to League Points.
